For You Interactive Tag

I have a very quick post for an interactive tag I did for 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  I was inspired by the tag with the interactive door.  I didn't have a stamp for a door so I cut one out using a ruler and my exacto knife.

When the "door" is opened, there is a cute penguin with a present for you.  :)  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are not as busy as I am (but know you are).  It is the holiday season and I get up running and end the day the same way.  But it will be worth it in the end and just think of all the calories I am burning.  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Pink & Main
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Markers -- Copic
Cardstock and Christmas Twine -- Recollections
Tag Die -- Sizzix

For You Penguin Card

Today I have a photo tutorial for a card I did for day 12 at the 12 Days of Giveaways at MarkerPop.   I had an idea for a card with a scene using a penguin image I had by Pink and Main.  First I needed a tree and used my ScanNCut2 to cut a green cardstock die cut.

After creating the green cardstock diecut, set it aside.  Next you need to make your white cardstock base.

I used a cloud stencil to make the background on the white cardstock.

I tore three pieces of white cardstock to put at the bottom of the card base to make it look like it had snowed.  I also cut a piece of brown cardstock so the tree would have a trunk.  :)

Next I stamped my images.  I thought I would be putting two penguins on my card but ended up only using one of them.  I colored the images using Copic markers.

Next I cut from red cardstock a word diecut using my Big Shot.

Then I assembled all the pieces of my card and used a white chalk marker to add details to the tree diecut.  Plus I used the white chalk marker to make it look like snow falling on the stenciled cloud background.

Next I applied Frosted Lace Stickles along the edges of the torn white edges and spread it with a Q-tip.  This gives the card some sparkle and looks like "ice."

I glued red, green and blue sequins to the tree.  I hope you enjoyed my little photo tutorial and thanks for stopping by during this busy but happy holiday season.  I am also linking my coffee penguin up at the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and Muse: ChristmasVisions.

Reindeer Coffee Christmas Card

I got up extra early today to do a card for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop since I had to work.  I found the diecut sentiment at Miss Kate's Cuttables and used my ScanNCut2 to cut it out.  I lucked out since it was a freebie (I think today only).  I thought it would be cute to put the reindeer image sitting on a coffee cup.  I'm going to be linking my merry reindeer up also at:

I'm sharing a card I did for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I had a new set called Brring on the Joy by Avery Elle which was wanting to get inky.  After looking at it, I decided those skating penguins could be carrying cups of coffee.  I looked around in my stash of coffee stamps and and found the small cups by JustRite Stamps.  So give me a high five, I'm proud of this one!  ;)

Spilled Coffee Tag

I have a quick post for a tag I did for 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist plus the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I was inspired by the bright pretty colors of both Sharon and Svitlana's tags.  I used one of my favorite new Christmas stamps.  It is by Technique Junkies and I smile each time I see it because it looks just like my cat Tiger!!!!  I decided to take a little personal liberty with the sentiment to make it fit the coffee lovers blog hop better.  I used alphabet stamps and created the "and spilled" plus a coffee word die cut.  Hope you like my funny tag today and thanks for stopping by.  I am still needing to decorate the tree in the den....It would be long done if I would stop sneaking in my craft room and making tags and cards.  ;)

Wonderful Time of the Year Card

I managed to hide out in my craft room late this afternoon to create another card for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Now that is not saying I didn't have a lot of other things which needed doing (like finishing the decorating of the den tree, wrapping presents and on and on).  It is just saying I wanted to play in my craft room more.  ;)  This is a new stamp set I ordered a few weeks ago getting ready for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. It is by Newton's Noon and was begging me to get inky.  I thought it would be fun to do it in non-traditional Christmas colors.  Thanks for stopping in.  It is getting late and I am going to watch an episode of The Crown on Netflix.  The second season has started and I am so happy to get to watch it.  I have all the Christmas lights glowing and my soft flannel pj's on....so a night with royalty is just the ticket.  ;)

I'm also linking this card up at:

Warm Wishes Cup Tag

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!  I am decorating, holiday cookie baking and creating....so yes I am having a nice day!  :)  I found my cup shape die at svgcuts (you can find it here) a few days ago and it was free.  I finally figured out how to cut it using my ScanNCut2 (which was no easy feat being the computer non-genius I am).  I am joining in at 12 Tags For Christmas With A Feminine Twist for day 9 with a color challenge of red, white and wintergreen.  I was inspired by how Heather flicked on diluted white paint on her tag.  I did the same on my red mug die and think it looks like red enamel speckled ware.   On a piece of wintergreen cardstock, I heat embossed the image sentiment with white embossing powder.  I had some wooden natural colored snowflakes and painted one of them white to put in the upper corner.  This tag actually opens up (like a card) and I think it would be great to put a Starbucks gift card in.  This tag is also perfect for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  :)  Thanks for dropping by during this busy season!  I better get back to the tree since I am determined to finish it TODAY.  ;)

Stamp -- Neat & Tangled

Warm Wishes Coffee Tag

The Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop started today.  What fun!  This will be my first "winter" one.   I used the sketch over at 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist for the base of my tag. (I was inspired by all the pretty colors in both Lisa Adametz and Jill Foster's tags.)  I used a new stamp set by Pink & Main which is perfect for the winter theme of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Keeping this short as I have had a terribly busy day and find myself tired!!!!  Still don't have my tree up in the den but tomorrow is the day!  ;)  I'm anxious to get to wrapping presents too as I have all these pretty tags to use.  (The ones I did for 25 Days of Tags and now the 12 Days of Tags....there are going to be some pretty boxes under our tree!)  :)  I'm also in the mood to bake some Christmas cookies.....so many plans for the weekend!  Let's see how many things actually get accomplished.  ;)

Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Markers -- Staedtler

Victorian Christmas Tag

I am in the midst of decorating our main tree today but took a break to make a tag for 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  It was nice to sit down, rest and get crafty a few minutes.  I had to ponder a little while on today's tag with the pink, mint and gold colors (actually just a good excuse to sit and rest a tad longer.)  ;)  I was inspired by Elena Roussakis's tag where she did a layered shaker tag minus the shake part.  I found the patterned paper in my stash by Prima Marketing which had the mint and pink colors.  It reminded me of a Victorian Christmas so that's the look I went for.  I die cut the scalloped oval tag twice (once in patterned paper and once in gold foil board).  I used pop dots between the two for diminsion to create my faux shaker card.  Better get back to decorating our tree....I've rested long enough!  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamp -- Unity Stamp Company
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Patterned Paper -- Prima Marketing, Inc.

I have a quick post  for day 6 of 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  The theme for today is use green, purple and grey on your tag.  I was inspired by Daniela Dobson's tag and her coloring of her image.

Let It Snow Tag

Today is day 5 at 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist and the theme is snow.  I liked how Carissa Wiley created her snowy effect on her tag.  It inspired me to use glitter glue for an icy snow effect.  I heat embossed snowflakes on an aqua cardstock tag.  The sentiment was created with alphabet stamps on a torn edge patterned paper.  Thanks for stopping by during this busy season.  All I like is putting ornaments on our tree in the den and of course wrapping presents. My youngest will be home from college in a few days so I am trying to get it all done.  Looking forward to baking Christmas treats and spending time with my family!  :)

Watercolored All Roads Christmas Tag

It is day 4 of Ellen Hutson's The Classroom tag event.  You can read all about it here.  Today the challenge was to create a tag and use watercolors.  I love the look of watercolor but I am not very good at it.  I am still "learning" but I do enjoy trying my hand at it.  :)  My inspiration for today is Laurel Beard's tags.  She used round tags as a reminder we do not always have to use a fancy tag die.  So I went through my dies and chose this pretty scalloped edge rectangle.  Thanks, Laurel for reminding me to look at my dies "as tags."  :)
Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me during this busy busy season.  I finally got two of my trees decorated this morning!  I did the tree in our breakfast room which is my "Santa" tree (nothing on it but Santa ornaments).  I also did the tree in the glass room which is a skinny tree with lots of varied ornaments we have collected over the years.   I still like our main tree in the den but am planning on getting it done tomorrow.....if I can tear myself away from making Christmas tags and cards.  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Jillibean Soup (truck image) and Unity Stamp Company (sentiment)
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Watercolor Markers -- Spectrum Aqua Markers
Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger
Diecut -- Lifestyle Crafts
Christmas Twine -- Recollections

Merry Christmas Tag

Back with a quick post....I have to get busy cooking.  My hubby said he was craving an omelet so we will be having a "breakfast" supper.  Suits me as this will be easy and I might get to work on those Christmas trees (begging to have ornaments put on them).  But then again it is Walking Dead night so maybe not.....I promise I will have them decorated before Christmas!  :)

I did this tag for the 12 Days of Christmas December Challenge over at Power Poppy.  On day one, the challenge was tags so you know I had to play.  I don't have any Power Poppy stamps (sad but true) so I used what I had.  I wanted my tag to have a vintage feel since I felt the ones at Power Poppy had an antique feel.  Thanks for stopping by and get busy and decorate your tree.  Don't be like me and keep finding excuses not to (like making tags).  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Hampton Art
Ink Pad -- and Tim Holtz Distress Oxides and Ranger
Watercolor Paper -- Canson
Cardstock and Twine -- Recollections
Markers -- Staedtler
Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger
