I don't think I have ever done a completely white card before. I stamped the cake image and sentiment and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I also learned with my limited photography skills it is hard to photograph a completely white card. I hope you can see the heat embossing enough in my photographs to see how pretty it is. If you can't, then you will have to take my word for it. (Wink, wink.) This wedding card is linking to the following challenges:
If you "stick with me" then you might see cards with cacti on them. The stamp companies keep coming out with pretty cactus images which want to come live at my house. (Wink.) This prickly card is going to be linking up at the following challenges:
Mermaids always make me think of my daughters when they were young. Both of them loved "The Little Mermaid." So today's card is to honor those long ago sweet memories of them. My mermaid card will be swimming in the following challenges:
I was looking over challenges this morning because I was going to get to play in my "craft cave" (which is actually upstairs...can a cave be high?) Wink. Anyway I saw one which was really a challenge! It was at Curtain Call and had a "Hibiscus" theme. I used to grow them every summer outside in pots on the patio and around the pool. BUT a card challenge...now that is where I had to put on my thinking cap. I was trying to remember if I had any hibiscus stamps and seemed to remember a couple of older Hampton Art sets which had them. Then I remembered a 3x4 little pad of papers by Authentique called Utopia. The very first sheet in the pad was a beautiful hibiscus! The rest is as they say history. Hope you like my very challenging challenge card! This hibiscus card will be blooming at:
Today's card is one I did for Sketch Saturday as part of their design team. It is for Sketch #476 and the sponser is Star Stampz. I used their image called "Bumblebee" and one of my favorite color combos of yellow, white and black. I am also joining the Little Red Wagon challenge of "Bugs and Slugs" and the Mod Squad Challenge of using black and white with one other color. I hope you are having a good day and thanks for stopping by.

One of the challenges I did on this card called for you to "splatter it." The "splatter demon" got a hold of me and I used five different ink colors to create the background on the blue cardstock. Now I can't decide if I like it or if I got too carried away "splattering." (Big wink.) I'm linking my hedgehog graduate to the following challenges:
I've been moving things around in my craft room because I got a new drawer unit yesterday. I am going to use it to organize my ribbons. Currently I have it in photo boxes separated by colors (all red in one box, all blue in another, etc.). But I have outgrown those boxes and think this plastic drawer unit from Michael's will be better. The drawers are different colors and deep enough ribbon spools will stand up so can "file" them. Can't wait to get my ribbon in it. I'll try to remember to take some photos after I get it organized. After shufflling things around in my craft (yet again...wink), I made this flamingo card. These lovey dovey birds are joining the following challenges:
I have a second card to share today. I wanted to join the challenge at Words 2 Craft By which had me put on my "thinking cap." (Wink.) The theme was "Liberty A Plant of Rapid Growth." It is based on a quote by George Washington. My freedom card is linking up at the following challenges:
Sharing a quick card I did for some challenge blogs. I stamped the pink card base with a stripe image in a darker shade of pink ink. Then I cut strips of aqua cardstock and secured them over the stamped stripes for the background. The patterned paper sentiment is from a 12x12 sheet of sayings and images by ADORNit. I also used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches (flipped it) for my inspiration. These pineapples will be linking up at:
I have a funny card for you today. I know you must be thinking why would I do a card with a man in a kilt???? Well, ordinarily I wouldn't!. (Wink.) But when I saw the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge of "U Is For Up Your Kilt," I was intrigued. To tell the truth I had to think about it for a few days but last night the light bulb went off in my brain. These pretty legs will be joining the following challenges:
I spent some time in my craft room today reorganizing my markers, washi tape and dies. I "think" I have finally got them the way I want! I have moved them four times in the last three weeks! I had them the way I liked until my new Scan N Cut2 came in. I had to make room for it close to my work desk which meant moving markers and dies. I'm happy with today's moves though so hopefully I will be able to spend more time making cards and no more time shuffling things around!!!! I did manage to make one card today to "test" how my reorganizing "worked." This happy llama wants to party at the these challenges:
I did two "firsts" on this card. First, I had never used foil transfer sheets. Second, I had never used linen thread on a card. You certainly get to try new things if you join the card blog challenges. I had some foil transfer which I had bought at Hobby Lobby a long time ago on clearance. I had to borrow some linen thread from a friend who luckily had some. The flower and bee stamps are new and had never seen ink. They are by Hampton Art and have matching dies They will be blooming at the following challenges:
It's the fifth Saturday which means you pick the sketch you want to use at Sketch Saturday (choosing from Sketches 215 to 473). The sponsor this week is Paper Nest Dolls. I used their Party Chicks digital image for a fun birthday card. Hope you like my design team card and thanks for stopping by.
Sharing a fun card with a new stamp set by Newton's Nook called Toucan Party. I have gone "toucan" crazy as well as flamingo crazy this summer. I had such a good time putting this one together and coloring those pretty toucans!!!! They will be spreading their wings at the following challenges:
