Cool Holiday Card

The newest challenge at Jingle Belles is called "Merry Sketch-mas" (sketch is below).    We had our first rainy morning for over two weeks.  Rainy days are my favorite for "getting lost" in my craft room.  :)  For this card I used a die set by Spellbinders.  I found it at Hobby Lobby last summer when I lucked out finding a good clearance sale.  It was my first time to use it and I loved how it turned out.  I think you will be seeing this polar bear often.  The small sentiment is by Lawn Fawn and fit the space above the polar bear.  I used my "antique" paper crimper by Fiskars.  I still like to use it ever so often.  I called it antique since I have owned it for over twenty-five years.  The square die is an old one by Sizzix.  Hope you are having a nice weekend...I am hoping for more rain...wink.

Looking Good Birthday Card

The newest challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is "K is for Kraft."  I decided to use kraft cardstock when making this funny birthday card for a friend.  I used Distress Oxide ink pads to stencil a design on the kraft card base.  The stamped image and sentiment are by Art Impressions.  Easy peasy!  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!

Embossed Poinsettias Christmas Card

New challenge at Jingle Belles is for embossing (either dry or wet) on your Christmas card.  I immediately thought of of my Perfect Poinsettias embossing folder by Altenew.   I made this card a 5x5 shape (had a package of card bases and envelopes this size from a long ago Hobby Lobby trip).  This was a fast and easy card using only three supplies....the embossing folder, glitter cardstock (from Altenew Gradient Cardstock Set in Green plus a clear sentiment sticker found at Hobby Lobby.  I was happy with the way it turned out though (think it is prettier in person....wink).  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you are having nice days and getting ready for fall of the year.

Vintage Let It Snow Card

Can you believe it is September?  Wow, this year is flying by!  There is a new challenge up at Jingle Belles which is for Vintage or Retro themed cards.  Since I have not missed out on one challenge there this year, I made a few minutes to create.  I found the vintage images in an older Authenique 6x6 paper pad (along with the striped paper).  The "let it snow" diecut is by Memory Box (from a craft de-stash I won a few months ago).  This was a fast and easy card just by trimming the patterned paper and images plus adding a die cut.  I used a white snowflake brad and solid white baker's twine for the finishing touches....and BAM I was done!
Thanks for dropping by and Happy Labor Day!
