Gnomes and Snowmen

Found some happy time in my craft room today and made a couple of cards for fun challenges.  Not only fun but useful as this gives me two new Christmas cards to put up for next year's mailing.  The first card I did for Christmas Craft Creations and also Double D Challenges.  The cute gnome building a snowman stamped image (plus sentiment) is from Simon Says Stamp (Gnome Peeking).  I did the "holly jolly" die cut sentiment with my Silhouette Cameo (Holly Jolly #52187).  The patterned cardstock is from a Christmas paper stack by Recollections.
My second card is for Can You Handle The Pressure? (Anything Goes With A Twist of Snow).  I used a snowflake background embossing folder by Sizzix embossed with blue cardstock.  The fun snowman was done with my Silhouette Cameo (Snowman Layer Card #231664).  The stamped sentiment is an older one from Stampin'Up!  I also used a small snowflake punch by McGill.  Thanks for dropping by and Happy New Year!

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Tag

Well, it's day twelve at Twelve Tags of Christmas and what fun I have had making tags for it.  The last day has a fun song to inspire...Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  I cut the reindeer using my Silhouette Cameo (#52512 Reindeer).  I used two older sentiment stamps with red ink on the white die cut tag (Sizzix).  The song lyrics were done with my typewriter by We R Memory Keepers.  I found a pretty red plaid ribbon in my ribbons and BAM...the final tag for Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Rudolph tag.  Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Jingle All The Way Tag

Things are jingling at Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022 for today which is day eleven.  The song for day eleven is Jingle Bells!  Not sure it shows up but there is a cute jingle bell on the collar of my Mama Elephant reindeer stamped image.  So I thought this little reindeer could sing Jingle Bells on my tag...wink. The stamped sentiment is from the same set (it was put out by Hampton Art but the designs are by Mama Elephant....an older set from my stash).  I did find it online though if you have your heart set on it....from this Etsy seller (Reindeer Stamp and Die Set).  The die cut sentiment was done with my Silhouette Cameo (Jingle Bells #14920).  It is a rainy day here which was perfect for tag making and/or snuggling up with fur babies and a good book!  Thanks for dropping by and remember to jingle your bells!

Frosty Tag

It's day ten at Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022 and the song is Frosty The Snowman.  I found a few minutes to sneak in my craft room this afternoon to create.  I used a set from Hampton Art for my stamped snowman and a snowflake background stamp from Simon Says Stamp on the tag.  I typed the "Frosty" sentiment on my typewriter.  Thanks for dropping by and remember to stay crafty even during the busy holiday season!

Grandma Got Run Over Tag

Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer is the song for day nine at Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022.  This is always a favorite Christmas song and lots of fun to create for.  The sentiment is an older one by Unity Stamp Company (Naughty Is The New Nice Sentiment Set).  The vintage image is one of those by Tim Holtz from my stash of supplies.  The stamped Santa and reindeer image is an older retired one by Joy Clair Stamps.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to watch out for those reindeer....'tis the season!!!

All Roads Lead Home At Christmas Tag

Having fun creating for day eight at Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022.  The song featured today is "I'll Be Home For Christmas."  I have always loved the saying "At Christmas, all roads lead home" and thought it would be a nice sentiment for a tag.  I found the patterned house paper in my stash (from an older Christmas paper stack by Recollections).  I die cut it into a tag shape and worked from there.  I used my typewriter to create the sentiment.  The truck image is an older one by Jillibean Soup.  Thanks for stopping by today and hope you can make it home for Christmas.

I'll Be Home For Christmas Tag

It is day eight at Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022 and the song is "I'll Be Home For Christmas."  I have three penguins which have decided home is the place to be for Christmas.  :)  Thanks for dropping in and remember to stay crafty.

Santa Woodblock Stamp

Over at Amy Tsuruta's blog, she does Woodblock Wednesday from time to time (monthly I "think").  It is a chance to get out a pretty woodblock stamp from your stash (or in my case hoard) and use it!!!  Amy invites you to link up your woodblock creation at her blog too.  How fun is that!  I was also inspired by Amy's card to use my typewriter to do the sentiment on my card.  The woodblock stamp is by Hampton Art and the cute background die cut is by Catherine Pooler

(It Must Have Been) Ol 'Santa Claus is the song for day seven at Twelve Tags of Christmas.  I decided to use the same woodblock stamp and typewriter again to create my tag.  I die cut the Santa image from black fun foam for extra dimension.  Thanks for dropping by and remember to ho ho ho!

Let It Snow Tag

Let It Snow is the song for day six at Twelve Tags of Christmas and one of my favorite Christmas songs.  The snowman on my tag is by Technique Junkies (Snowman Whimsy) and the Let It Snow tag image is an older one by Hampton Art.  Another fun tag created on a rainy day in my favorite place to be when it is raining...yep, home in my craft room.  Thanks for visiting and remember "let it snow....only in the song or one of those pretty Christmas movies.  Big wink!

Baby It's Cold Outside Tag

It's day five at Twelve Tags of Christmas 2022 and the inspirational song is "Baby, It's Cold Outside."  I immediately thought of a pattern I have for my Silhouette Cameo.  (Baby It's Cold Outside #310171 by Jillibean Soup/Silhouette Design Store).  I cut it out from white cardstock and mounted on a red cardstock tag.  This would be a fun one to make several of and use different colors of cardstock.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!

Warm Wishes Snowman Card

I couldn't resist doing another tag for the Twelve Tags of Christmas Winter Wonderland song (on day two's song list).  I had fun playing with a snowman image by Hampton Art which needed something delicious in his hands.  I'm decided a "to go cup of hot chocolate" was what any thirsty showman would want! (Wink.)  I photographed the tag before adding it to a card base because I needed one more Christmas card!
Once I added it to a card base, I knew it would be perfect for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge which has a "Snowman" theme for the month of December.  Thanks for checking out my cocoa loving snowman today....you know a cup of hot chocolate does sound pretty good....so I'm off to fix one!!!

Deck The Halls Tag

Deck The Halls is day four's song at Twelve Tags of Christmas.  I always think of "fa la la" if Deck The Halls is the song.  For the background of my tag, I used Fa La La Essentials by Ellen clear stamp.  The ornament image is by Dare 2B Artzy (Deck The Halls).  After some quick coloring, I trimmed the image and adhered to the lower right of the tag.  This is truly fast and easy which is just what I like during the busy holiday season!  Thanks for dropping by.....and fa la la.

Who Needs Snow? Tag

Mele Kalikimaka is the song selection for day three at Twelve Tags of Christmas.  I took tropical holiday images from a couple of older stamp sets in my stash (hoard) of stamps.  Hope you are having a fun weekend and finding time to create!

Winter Wonderland Song Tag

For day two at Twelve Tags of Christmas, the song is Winter Wonderland.  I decided to go all white except for a touch of red in the sentiment of my tag.  I cut out several small die cuts and adhered to the tag base (which I had layered with layers of "cardstock snow.")  Thanks for dropping by and hope you are finding crafty tag time.

Holly Jolly Christmas Tag

It's time for one of my favorite events!  The Twelve Tags of Christmas sponsored by Ellen Hutson started December 1st.  Each day for twelve days we are to make tags inspired by the day's featured song.  The song for December 1st is Holly Jolly.  I'm in the middle of decorating our house plus trying to get presents wrapped so time in my craft room is at a minimum.  I did manage a few minutes this morning though to create my "Have A Holly Jolly Christmas" tag.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the word die.  The tag and holly die cuts were from my Sizzix stash.  Thanks for stopping by and happy holidays.

Joy Christmas Card

After all the Thanksgiving hustle and bustle, it was nice to wake up to a Saturday morning with cloudy skies and rain.  I knew where I was going to head....yep, my craft room.  I was in need of a slow morning with "craft therapy."  I have joined the Jingle Belles this year with each of their challenges.  This card is inspired by their last challenge for the year.  I have to admit it is a very nice feeling having a box of Christmas cards made and ready to mail.  I'm going to do it from now on....no more mad scrambling at the last minute for me!  (Wink.)  I'm also linking this card at 52 Christmas Card Challenge which is stenciling.  Thanks for stopping by.   Hope your weekend has some "craft therapy" in it!

52 Christmas Card Challenges (Stencil) -- I stenciled the music background.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry Card

Having fun creating with a coffee theme, snowmen and washi tape on this card.  The stamped sentiment is by Scrapbook.com from a set with other cute sentiments.  I used the design on the washi tape to create my snowmen (a circle punch, face stamp and top hat die by Sizzix plus two mugs cut with Silhouette Cameo).  Easy peasy!  I'm linking up at Christmas Craft Creations Challenge plus the Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with this one.  Thanks for stopping by and go ahead and eat, drink and be merry NOW...don't wait for Christmas!  (Wink!)

Cup of Cheer Gnome Card

I couldn't resist joining in on the fun at the new Inspired By..."Gnomes" challenge.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Gnome by Lori Whitlock design (#308878 at the Silhouette Design Store)   Paired with a couple of rubber stamped sentiments plus a snowflake and cup image and BAM...a fast and fun gnome card!
The Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is going strong too so I'll be linking cute gnome up there as well.
Thanks for dropping by and hope you are having a crafty Monday!

Rainy Day Crafting

I got up this Saturday and it was raining!  I don't know about you but I love rainy days in my craft room.  It's extra special since it has not been raining very much in my area lately!  I was able to do three cards for three fun challenges!  The card above was done for the Inspired By Challenge.  I remembered a stamp set I had by Impression Obsession which features pine cones.  I also used the sketch featured at Inspired By Challenge too.

Cut It Up Challenge has a Thanks or Thanksgiving theme this time.  I used stamps and dies by Reverse Confetti who are sadly no longer in business.  I always thought Reverse Confetti had the cutest stamps and most innovative dies.  The patterned paper is Honey Bee Stamps.  I'll be sending this one to a friend who I need to thank for very happy mail!

My third card is for the funny challenge at Jingle Belles.  You know how I love to do funny cards so couldn't wait to give this challenge a try.  The stamps are by Taylored Expressions.  The tag die and word die are older ones in my stash from Essentials by Ellen.  I stenciled a quick snowflake background with Distress Oxide ink.  Thanks for dropping by.  I'm off to figure out something quick, easy but good for our supper.  Wish me luck....wink!
