Floral Birthday Greetings Card

After trying to get in my craft room all week, I finally managed to spend time in there today.  Yay!  I didn't get to "play" for very long but I did manage to relax, have fun and make a card.  I am joining a few challenges with this card and used them to get my creative "mojo" going.  The floral photo at the Inspiration Station Challenge really inspired me with the beautiful flowers.  I used  stamps (and dies) by Reverse Confetti.  Here are the challenges this card will be blooming at:

I Dig It Card

I was lucky and won a gift certificate to Topflight Stamps during the spring/summer Coffee Lover's Hop.  I chose this stamp set as part of my winning.  It is by AALL & Create (Gardener Dee).  The farm scene image is from an older Gina K Designs set in my stash (or hoard) of stamps.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the die cut fence (Silhouette Design Store #16326).  You know I always have to finish off my card with a bow and bam, it was done!  :)  Thanks for dropping in....hope you dug it!

You Are My Sunshine Card

One of my favorite comedians is Steve Martin (and have seen him "live" two times performing).  There is now way I could pass up making a card for this challenge!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the cute sun die cut for front of the card (plus the clouds).  You can find the cutting pattern here.

F Is For Finger Card

Had a little crafty fun time today and just wanted to "play."  I decided to see what I could come up with for the F Is For F Words at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers current challenge.  Of course every one knows "f" is for finger (you know which one too....wink).   I found an old image by Crafty Secrets in my stash (or hoard) of supplies which I thought would be a good one for the sentiment.  The embossing folder is by Spellbinders (the May one in the monthly embossing folder club).  I used alphabet stamps by Hampton Art to create my sentiment.  The hand die cut is by Honey Bee Stamps (Helping Hand).  I put a baker's twine bow around the middle finger for the finishing touch.  ;)  Thanks for dropping by and remember to stay crafty.

Butterfly Sympathy Card

Hero Art's Stay Crafty May Challenge is Get Scrappy which is to use your scraps of leftover papers.  I had these solid colored pastel pieces of cardstock in my "scrap box" and decided to die cut them.  I adhered the die cut pieces to a white card base and stamped the "with sympathy" sentiment to the lower right.  The butterfly images are from a Hero Arts set called New Day Butterflies.  I added just a touch of color to the butterflies with alcohol markers in pastel colors.  The baker's twine bow and striped sequins were the finishing touch.  Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your weekend has been a pleasant one.  I've been doing "porch reading" outside plus planting flowers and repotting older plants.  I wish I could stay outside on the porch and read, read, read....but those darn household chores don't do themselves.  ha-ha

Bird House Shaped Card

I did this bird house shaped card for a friend who is having health problems.  I cut the bird house shape card using my Silhouette Cameo and a design from their store (#57952 Bird House Shaped Tall Card).  The bird and sentiment are by Hero Arts from a huge de-stash box I won several months ago.  I loved creating this bird image using four different colored inks.  This bird will be chirping at these fun challenges:

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your weekend has been a good one.  I have been out planting flower seeds plus repotting several plants which needed larger pots.  They had all outgrown their current pots.  One of my plants is nearly 45 years old.  It is an Elephant Foot Palm and is taller than I am so you can image how much fun it is to repot.  :)  I keep it out on our side porch during the summer (and in the garage in winter).  It is a beautiful plant and I am proud of the fact I've kept it alive all these years.  :)  It was only about twelve inches tall when I bought it all those years ago.

Merry & Bright Christmas Card

Creating one more time for the color challenge going on at Jingle Bells currently.  I heat embossed with a silver glitter Wow embossing powder the "merry & bright" sentiment by Concorde & 9th.  The set is called Big On Christmas.  I matted it on silver foil board (forgive the black line at the bottom caused by my phone photography....it is NOT on the card).  I added more sentiments with black ink at the top and bottom with black ink.  To finish the card, I used pink and white solid colored baker's twine plus a snowflake die cut with a Jolee's snowflake sticker on top of it.  Hope your weekend has been merry and bright with some fun thrown in.  Thanks for dropping in.

Oahu Doin'? Card

Spent some crafty time today creating a card which will join a couple of challenges.   These cute stamps are by Penguin Palace (from their Aloha Hawaii set).  The stitched square frame die is by My Favorite Things.  These hula girls will be joining:

Two Color Christmas Card

I discovered a new challenge today and had to create a card for it. :)  It is the Christmas Craft Creations challenge and for May it is use only two colors.  For my two colors, I chose kraft and red cardstock.  I used a snowflake pattern Sizzix embossing folder for the upper panel.    The "let it snow" sentiment is a die by Memory Box (and also the snowflake).  I finished it off with small red jewels by KI Memories.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.

Season's Greetings Poinsettia Card

It is a color challenge at Jingle Belles this time.  You are to use pink, grey (or silver) and white (or ivory) for your colors.  The above photo was to help inspire us.  When I saw the colors to use, my first thought was pink poinsettias!  I had a new 3D embossing folder by Altenew called Perfect Poinsettias.  I've had it a few months and thought it was high time I USED it.  I used pink cardstock to emboss a beautiful panel of poinsettias.  Next I stamped the image and sentiment which I colored and die cut.  The silver border around the edge of the square card is a die by Sizzix.  I finished it with adding a touch of silver Stickles on the flower image and adhering a white twine bow to the upper right corner.  Thanks for dropping in and remember to stay crafty!

Seal Rain Or Shine Card

I did a card for the current Cut It Up Challenge which has a theme of April Showers Bring May Flowers (which is to feature rain and/or flowers).  I recently won a de-stash prize on Instagram that was a large box of Reverse Confetti stamps dies and ink pads.  I almost needed smelling salts when the prize box arrived in the mail and I opened it!  This cute Reverse Confetti "Sealiously" was one of the many stamp sets (plus the matching dies) in my prize box.  I couldn't wait to play with it and thought the rain part of the Cut It Up Challenge would be perfect for it.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.  I'll be joining these fun challenges:
