Partying Cat Card

All good things come to an end so alas does the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop (sniff).  I want to thank Janis (Her Peaceful Garden) for another great cat lovers hop.  I had a lot going on today but managed to do a couple of cards for the hop.  This is my second one which features a stamp set by Lil' Inker Design (Cat Treats).  I based the card design on a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches (#408).  I also used balloon dies and a stitched frame die plus an old Sizzix embossing folder to create my design.

Thanks for stopping by.  It has been a fun week  "cat hopping" with everyone!!!!  As always remember to stay crafty (enjoy your weekend!)

Pawsome Birthday Card

I'm sorry to see the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop end.  I want to thank Janis of Her Peaceful Garden one more time for all her hard work at putting such a fun event together.  :)  The cat stamp image is by Picket Fence Studios (Pretty Kitties) and the stamped sentiments are by Newton's Nook (Holding Happiness).  The die cut sentiment is from the Silhouette Design Store (#268175)  and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I'll be adding this to my birthday stash as I never seem to have one when I need it!

Thank for checking out my "pawsome" card.  Remember to stay crafty (and hug your cat or dog).....even your hubby if worse comes to worse).  ;)

Coffee Is My Catnip Card

It is day 5 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop and we only have one more day of "purrrrfect" fun.  :)  I've been enjoying a rainy day at home except for going to "cat-sit" my daughter's new kitten a couple of hours.  So a rainy day plus the Cat Lovers Hop means time in the 'ole craft room.  :)  I combined two of my favorite themes on this card....coffee and cats!  I used a stamp set by Lil' Inker Designs (Cat Treats) plus the coffee word die is by them too.  I have been working at perfecting my CAS style (always HARD for ME)....so tried to keep it clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by.  My youngest and I are going to a Christmas painting event tonight.  Both of us are going to do a cute large door decoration.  Won't be as much fun as a kitten but still fun.  ;)  Remember to stay crafty (drink some coffee and pet your cat).  ;)

Halloween Welcome Card

The fun is still continuing at the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop.  Hope you are not missing out.  :)  I'm finishing up my Halloween cards today.  I got this cute stamp set at Tuesday Mornings a few weeks ago for $2.99.  Looking at it in my craft room I got the idea of trying to create the entrance to a house.  My idea was to make a door take up most of the space and "hang" the Halloween wreath image on it.  I stenciled a brick background on white cardstock using Distress Oxide ink pads.  This card was fun to make....so much I had to make another one and change up the colors.  I can't decide which one I like the best....do you have a preference?  Spooky the cat also made another appearance.  He was full from the eyeball treats and is waiting by the door to sneak in the house for a nap.  :)

I like this one with the orange door.  Would be pretty during October but I might have to repaint the door during the Christmas holidays.  (Wink.)  I'm linking my door cards up at:

Thanks for checking out my Halloween doors today.  Remember to stay crafty (decorate your door for Halloween but watch out for black cats trying to sneak in).  ;)

Trick or Treat Cat Card

We are up to day four of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop.  Wow, this week is flying by.  I guess that old saying is true about time flying when you are having fun.  ;)  I still like a couple of Halloween cards having all of them done for everyone I give plus mail to.  The free pattern this week at the Silhouette Design Store is this cute black cat (#304289 Halloween Cat).  The sentiment was also done with my Silhouette Cameo (#49258 Trick or Trick).  I used an embossing folder by Sizzix with spiders all over it.  The spider stickers are from my big box of Halloween embellishments I keep adding to each year.  I "think" they are by Recollections.  This one will go to my youngest daughter (sshhh, don't tell her....wink).  :)  My tricking cat is going to link up at the following fun sites:

I hope your day is going well.  It is a beautiful fall day here and I am heading out to our front porch with a good book!  As always, remember to stay crafty (and read good books.....studies have shown people who read live longer!)  :)

Birthday Cat Card

The 2019 Cat Lovers Hop is going on this week.  If you like cats AND crafting plus lots of fun with games and prizes, then you should definitely check it out.  :)  I'm adding to my birthday stash since I never seem to have enough.

Thanks for checking out my birthday cake eating cat.  I would never leave my birthday cake unattended because I know my cat Boots would be helping himself to a piece.  :)  Remember to stay crafty ( and protect your cakes).  ;)

Shy Humorous Cat Card

I have been able to hide in my craft room two separate times today between chores.  Don't you hate when household chores interfere with crafty fun?  ;)  Since one of my favorite yearly events is going on though, I didn't want to work all day with no creating.  If you haven't joined in on the fun at the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop, you need to get busy!  :)  I pulled all my cat image stamps out so I could see what I had and to "inspire" me.  This image by Technique Junkies begged me to use it today with a funny sentiment.  So who am I to refuse a begging stamp?  (Wink.)  The sentiment is a sticker by Tim Holtz.  The paw die cuts were done with my Silhouette Cameo (#166984 Silhouette Design Store).  The embossing folder is by Sizzix.

I have to tell you about one of my "chores" today but it was a FUN one.  My oldest daughter has a new kitten and she asked me to go play with it since she is at work.  It is solid white except for a smidge of black on top of its head.  It is super cute and VERY playful.  I had the best time playing with it.  I wish all my chores were that delightful....but that cooking, cleaning and laundry somehow fall short.  :)  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!  :)

Spooky Halloween Treats Card

The 2019 Cat Lovers Hop is in full swing.  Have you joined in on the fun?  Speaking of fun....do you like to make "funny" cards?  They are some of my favorites to make and IF I combine funny with Halloween, then even better.  :)  I thought it would be humorous to put stamped eyeballs in mason jars for cat treats....after all the card is for Halloween (and no, I don't feed eyeballs to my cats).  ;)  I named this stamped cat "Spooky."    The eyeball image is from Hampton Arts, the sentiment is by American Crafts and spider sticker by Recollections.  I used patterned paper from DCWV and ribbon by Recollections.  The label tape sentiment at bottom was done with my Brother Electronic Label Maker (love it).  Hope you like my feeble attempt at some Halloween humor!  :)

Thanks for stopping by to check out Spooky and his Halloween treats.  :)  Remember to stay crafty (make a funny card TODAY).  ;)

Cat "Boo" Card

Woo Hoo!  Exciting happenings going on this week!  It is time for the 5th Cat Lovers Hop!  This will be my third year to join in on the fun (I didn't know about the first two years....sniff, sniff).  :)  Be sure to check it out!  If you love crafting AND cats, then this is for you.  :)  There are lots of games and prizes so I know you will want to participate!!!!!!  As I mentioned in earlier posts, my youngest daughter and I have been making Halloween cards and having the best time.  I made this one with the Cat Lovers Hop in mind.  Found these stamps a few weeks ago at a Tuesday Morning for $2.99.  They are by American Crafts and have several different cat images in the package.  The die cut letters and cat are from my stash of Sizzix dies.  I cut them out with black fun foam for extra dimension.  I dug out one of my Martha Stewart Halloween punches (spider web border) and used patterned paper by DCWV.  I used a couple of orange self adhesive jewels for "cat eyes" for the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty (get out those cat stamps and create!).  :)

Mr. Bones Card

Another quick post today (trying to make up for being absent several days....wink).  My youngest daughter and I have been hitting my craft room the last couple of weeks making Halloween cards.  We have pooled all our Halloween crafty items and been in "spooky heaven" together.  :)  This fun card uses stamps by American Crafts, patterned paper by DCWV, and die cuts done with Silhouette Cameo.  Oh and a spider sticker by Recollections.  :)  Mr. Bones is going to join in at:

Thanks for visiting and remember to stay crafty (get those Halloween stamps out!)  :)

Stencil Halloween Card

I am intrigued by the challenge at CAS Stencil for October.  The challenge is to stencil on patterned paper which I have never done!  :)  Since I am in full Halloween card making mode, I wanted to give it a try.  I'll definitely try stenciling on patterned paper again since I was pleased with the results.  :)  I used stencils from Hampton Art which came with a stamp set.  The "spooky" die cut was done with my Silhouette Cameo (#4180 Spooky from the Silhouette Design Store).  Before adhering the die cut, I created a border by hand with a black Copic pen.  I added a couple of googley eyes to the die cut for the finishing touch.  Easy peasy or should I say clean and simple.  ;)  My spooky skull is going to link up at:

Even though I haven't blogged in several days, I have been busy making Halloween cards.  My youngest daughter and I have been crafting together and having the most fun.  I think Halloween cards are my favorite ones to make.  :)  Both of us are going to be mailing lots of Halloween cards this year.  Plus I bought the new Halloween postal stamps so even our stamps are going to match the envelopes!  (Wink.)  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!  :)

Halloween Llama Card

I'm enjoying a rainy day in my craft room making Halloween cards.  :)  I was in Michael's last week and fell in love with a cute Halloween stamp set which had llamas.  It begged to come home with me and I was happy to oblige.  I used the Foil Quill free hand to create the gold foiled pattern and ran it through a laminator.  I used a metallic gold pen to do the dots at the top and bottom (plus on sentiment).  The glittered bat and wooden jack 'o lantern are by Recollections.  This Halloween llama wants to play at:

Thanks for taking time to visit.  I'm off to make spaghetti for our supper....that's what rainy days call for.  ;)  As always....stay crafty (and watch out for those three legged creepy llamas).  :)

Hocus Pocus Witch and Coffee Card

We are having rainy weather today and it is the first time in weeks and weeks. I know our grass, shrubs and trees are celebrating.  :)  I decided to celebrate too in my craft room making cards.  :)  I've started making my Halloween cards to mail to friends and neighbors.  This is a quick card I put together with Pink Paislee patterned papers and ephemera from their Spellcast Collection.  The heat embossed stamped image/sentiment is by Joy Clair Stamps (Creeping It Real).  The swirled pumpkin is a sticker by Jolee's Boutique.  I added Halloween colored twine by Maya Road as the finishing touch.  This coffee drinking witch is joining in at:

Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty (enjoy those rainy days)!!!  :)

Frankly Awesome Halloween Card

I was in the mood to make a Halloween card before I left my craft room.  I like to mail Halloween cards to friends and neighbors.  What better time to make one when still celebrating World Card Making Day.  :)  I used my Foil Quill and gold fold to do the frame around the patterned paper and stamped sentiment (Joy Clair Stamps Creeping It Real).  The die cut was done with my Silhouette Cameo (#67843 Frankenstein Silhouette) and black cardstock.  I also stenciled the word "beware" with Distress Oxide ink on white cardstock.  I cut a stencil using the Silhouette Cameo and this stencil pattern (#32431 Stencil Caution Signs).  For a fun finishing touch, I added a glittered spider sticker (Recollections).  Frankie is going to be walking by these challenges:

I guess I need to get out of my crafting comfortable clothes and get dressed.  Hubby has offered to take us out for dinner so I wouldn't have to cook.  I certainly wasn't going to argue with that!  :)  Thanks for taking time to visit.  Remember to stay crafty this week.  :)

Foiled Trees Christmas Card

I'm still celebrating World Card Making Day.  :)  Recently I played with Deco Foil Transfer Gel and some of my stencils.  The Christmas tree background shown here is one of my results.  I used Newton's Nook Evergreen stencil with the Deco Foil Transfer Gel.  After letting it completely dry, I used iCraft Deco Foil in  Spring Green and my laminator for the finished results.  I wish you could see it in person.  It has depth and is so pretty and shiny.  :)  My image and sentiment are by Joy Clair Stamps (Cozy Snowman Wishes).  The oval die cuts are Sizzix Framelits Dotted Ovals.  The stamped image was colored with alcohol markers.  I adhered sparkly snowflakes for the final touch plus added some Stickles to the snowman image.  This snowman is going to drop by:

Hope your weekend has been a crafty celebrating World Card Making kind.  :)  Thanks for stopping by and I'm heading back to my craft room where I see another card in my future.  :)

Birthday Wishes Card

I'm still in my craft room celebrating World Card Maker's Day.  :)  Pink Fresh Studio has fun challenges going on during the card maker's dream holiday.  :)  One of their challenges is "Favorite Technique."  One of my favorite techniques is to put Distress Oxide ink pads on glass, spritz with water and drag an old credit card through the ink,  Next smear it on cardstock.  This is a fun way to create a quick and pretty background.  I used stamps by Pink Fresh Studio (possibly retired).  I'll be adding this card to my birthday stash since I never seem to have enough.  :)  I'm linking this one up at:

All for now....who knowsI might head back to my craft room before the day is over.  :)   Remember to get crafty....it is is our holiday.  Happy World Card Maker's Day!!!!!!  :)

Peaceful Maple Card

I hope you are having a crafty World Card Making Day.  There are lots of good sales and fun challenges, etc. to check out.  One of them is Kat Scrapinness (sale plus challenges).   My youngest and I attended our town's fall festival this morning which was fun.  I came home and put on my comfortable crafting clothes and headed for the "crafty cave" to celebrate my favorite holiday.  :)  I cut out a maple leaf tag from watercolor paper.  I colored it with a watercolou r technique of spritzing Distress Oxide ink pads and "smooshing" the tag into them.  The die cut design (#223926 Rounded Rectangle Maple from the Silhouette Design Store) has two other layers which I cut from black cardstock and then kraft cardstock.  I used a Tim Holtz (Sizzix) embossing folder and orange cardstock  to do two narrow strips.  The stamped sentiment is from My Favorite Things.  The waxed orange hemp is by Ken Oliver (found a few months ago at Tuesday Morning's).  Definitely CAS and especially enjoyable on this beautiful fall World Card Making Day.  :)  This leaf is going to be falling by:

Today is going to be the last day in the 90's here and the temperatures are supposed to be more like autumn.  I'm definitely looking forward to cooler weather.  I'll close because I want to head back upstairs to my craft room and make more cards.  After all it is not everyday I get to make them on a "Card Maker's Holiday."  ;)
As always, stay crafty!!!!!

Autumn Greetings Feather Card

I put myself in high gear this morning getting all my "chores" done so I could have card therapy time.  :)  It was the first time this week and much needed!!!!  ;)  There is a new CASology challenge of  "feather" and I couldn't wait to create for it!  I started by cutting a feather die cut with my Silhouette Design Store (#40563 Floating Feather) out of white cardstock.  I cut the negative of this die cut into A7 card size.  I stamped  on a white cardstock panel which would go behind the feather card base to create the scene.  I used a set I've had a few years by Inky Antics (#11196MC Autumn Fields).  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I stamped a sentiment to the upper right of the feather die cut piece.  I used a few yellow and orange sequins for the finishing touch.  I'm going go link this card up at:

Thanks for dropping by and checking out my latest "card therapy."  :)  As always remember to stay crafty!  :)
