Shaped Holidays House Card

I'm still in full Marie Kondo mode at my house.  After working for eight days in our walk-in closet, I'm doing smaller projects this week.  Little things so I can rest up and not get totally burned out.  I still have more closets to do but they can wait a few days.  There is a new challenge at Jingle Belles I couldn't wait to create for.  The new theme is "Shaping Up For The New Year" which means make a shaped holiday card.  I remembered a cute cutting pattern I purchased from the Silhouette Design Store (A2 Christmas House Shaped Card).  I found the perfect sentiment stamp (Reverse Confetti's Sweet Holiday).  Fun card to make and a whole lot more fun than cleaning closets!  ;)  I'm linking this shaped card at:

Goil Foiled Frame Valentine's Card

For the past seven days I have been cleaning out our master bedroom walk-in closet.   I have been inspired by Marie Kondo and the Tidying Up show on Netflix.   It was full of things which needed giving away (and it also needed a good cleaning).   I'm happy to say I finished it today!!!!  To celebrate, I headed to my craft room and made a card.  :)  I played with my Gemini Foil Press and did a diecut gold foiled frame.  I also used a gold foil cardstock, patterned polka dot paper, stamps by Unity. and washi tape too.  I did a touch of coloring with a pink Copic marker.  Fun card to make and just what I needed after working in that closet for a week (ugh).  These hearts are going to be joining these challenges:

Deer Friend Christmas Card

For nearly two weeks I have been cleaning, purging and reorganizing in my home.  Let me say it needed doing but it is NOT FUN work.  I am not finished either but it is a rainy day here.  I couldn't resist going in my craft room and making cards.  I'll resume the non-fun work tomorrow but I needed a day of crafting.  (Wink.)  I wanted to create a card for the new Jingle Belles swap called "Look What Santa Brought."  This swap wants you to use the new crafty goodies you received at Christmas.  I used my new Fiskars guillotine cutter Santa brought. My youngest daughter always makes sure my husbands gets my "crafty wants list."  ;)  I am loving this guillotine cutter with the self sharpening blade.  No more ragged edges and constant blade replacing with this baby.

I did an alcohol ink background on glossy cardstock and then diecut the trees (Sizzix Thinlits Woodlands).  I used a cloud stencil (old Stampin'Up) and Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China) to create the clouds.  The stamp images and sentiments are by Lawn Fawn (Toboggan Together).  I used alcohol ink markers to color the images and Stickles for the "ice" on the trees and snow.  My deer friend is going to join these challenges:

Cold Days Cocoa Card

I had free time to create a fun card this morning.  I think it was my first time to truly relax since the Christmas holidays.  :)  The snowman was done with my Silhouette Cameo 3 (Snowman With Mug Paper Piecing by Jennifer Wambach).  The perfect cup stamp and sentiment are by Newton's Nook (Cup of Cocoa).  I used  red and white striped leftover Christmas tissue for the pleated bottom strip.  The black cardstock background was embossed with a snowflake pattern embossing folder (Sizzix).  For a finishing touch, I added sequin spangles and white Nuvo drops.  It was nice to enjoy crafty time without being stressed about "things to do."  :)  Hope you get some stress free creative time too.  :)  My cocoa loving snowman is joining these awesome challenges:

Happy Coffee Card

Sharing a quick and fun card I did this morning for a friend.  Coffee is definitely one of my reasons to be happy.  I can't wait for that first cup in the mornings.  :)  How about you?  I used stamps and patterned papers and epoxy shapes by Jillibean Soup.

Double D Challenges is celebrating their third birthday with a challenge of "It's On The Menu."  Coffee is always on my menu!  This card will be happy to link to these challenges:

You Warm My Heart Coffee Card

Although I should be taking down Christmas decorations, I decided I would rather make cards.  ;)  I had a new stamp set (with matching dies) by Jillibean Soup and it wanted to be used.  I got it before Christmas and it was getting rather impatient waiting on me...wink!  :)  There is a fun challenge at Double D Challenges called "It's On The Menu" and of course coffee is on MY menu!  Double D is also celebrating their third anniversary/birthday with some nice prizes so check them out.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope the New Year is being good to you.  Although it is cold and rainy here, I'm dry and warm in the "crafty cave" so my New Year is off to a good start!  :)  My polka dot cup of coffee is linking up at:

Giant Snowman Card

Happy New Year!  Here's wishing you a happy and healthy 2019!  I'm back today with a fun card for the Jingle Belles first challenge of the new year.  Their first challenge is called "No Time Like The Presents" and you are to use wrapping paper or gift tags.  My oldest daughter had one of my presents wrapped with pretty snowman paper this year.  I don't usually save wrapping paper when tearing into presents but this paper just yelled "turn me into a card."  :)  I actually saved it and another wrapping paper which had cute Santas (hoping to make some cards with it too).  I have big plans to make Christmas cards all year so I'm not scrambling around at the last minute.  My big snowman is going to be linking up at:

Jingle Belles Challenge (No Time Like The Presents)
Sweet Stampin' (Something New -- Just got the silver foilboard from Amazon.  :)
