I found a little time to play today and join some card challenges. This card is playing in the following: CAS on Sunday (Use a repetitive image...so I stamped the llama three times.) Less Is More (Shimmer...I sprayed the llama images piece of cardstock with glimmer mist which is not showing up in my photograph...grrrr. Also there is glittered Mod Podge dry brushed around the edge so this shimmer you can see.) Flowers and Friends Card

For Mother's Day I got the We R Memory Keepers Typeset typewriter (in black). Yep, my hubby did good! Today was the first time I have used it (up until now just giving it loving looks in my craft room...wink). I wanted it primarily to type sentiments and do some journaling. You know those times when you don't have the right sentiment in your stamp collection OR for those card challenge "quotes" you need. It is going to come in VERY handy...I love it! I put it next to my main work desk so it is always close by. AND because I am so proud of it, I'm putting a photo I took today of it. Rise and Shine Card

After a busy morning of choosing classes for the Scrapbook Expo in Duluth, Georgia in July, I was able to register for them. So excited to be taking six "technique" classes (watercoloring, etc.) plus escaping a few days with other ladies who like crafting almost as much as me. (Wink.) Then I got to go in my craft room and make this card....see I am having a great day! (BIG wink). Parisian Birthday Card

Hope you are having a fun day. With this card, I am playing some challenges at Crazy For Challenges (based on a sketch plus it has to be a birthday card) and the Inkspirational Challenge which has the word "Urban." The Crazy for Challenges is a really good sketch to work with. I love how it has two circles and part of one is hidden. Go check out the sketch here. For the "urban" word challenge, I thought of a new patterned paper pad I recently bought at Michael's with a Parisian theme. The Eiffel Tower image is like it is being viewed from afar in Paris so I thought that has to be "urban!" (Wink.) Forgive the crooked angle of my card photograph today....I must have been leaning! Welcome New Neighbor Card

I'm playing with the CASE This Sketch #223 today. I had such fun with this sketch and think it is a "keeper." :) Do you have a label maker? I have been using mine more the last few days. I have the old traditional type of Dymo and invested in a Brother a few months ago...but it is still in the package. Decided I would get it out and learn to use it today but can't find the power adapter I bought to go with it! I know it is in my craft room SOMEWHERE. I did some cleaning and re-organizing a few weeks ago and remember seeing the adapter (still in it's packaging too)...but can't find it now! My daughter told me just use batteries with the Brother but I'm determined to find the adapter. Celebrating Alligator Card

I think an alligator stamp is cute and that is as close to an alligator as I want to get...wink! I thought I would play today over at Freshly Made Sketches since I loved their current sketch challenge. It also fits the Seize The Birthday challenge theme of creatures or animals. I'm also playing at the CAS Mix Up Challenge of stamping plus splattering plus my choice of fussy cutting. I splattered ink using an inked acrylic stamp block, misted water on it and an artist brush tipped and tapped on the cardstock. Fun! Happy Bird-Day Card

I have fallen in love with flamingos and have started collecting crafty goodies with their pink prettiness on them. This card is from one of my new stamp sets with flamingos. I'm playing in three card challenges with this card. First it is based on the sketch at Just Add Ink. Then CASology has a "Warm" theme going on and I think flamingos are a warm bird. (Wink.) Last but not least Seize The Birthday has a "creatures or animals" theme. I had such fun with my new flamingo stamps. I also tried my hand at making a bow from washi tape. Casual Fridays Sketch Challenge (CFC174)

I am joining the fun at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog this week after taking a lot longer break from my blog than I ever intended to! :) This challenge is based on a sketch. I did some ink smooshing on white cardstock for the background. Then I stamped the Casual Friday images and sentiment with a navy ink. I used some orange gingham washi tape, some plastic KI Memories flower confetti, some hand stitching and a few self adhesive sequins by Jillibean Soup for the finishing touch.
