Coffee Skating Penguins Card

I'm sharing a card I did for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I had a new set called Brring on the Joy by Avery Elle which was wanting to get inky.  After looking at it, I decided those skating penguins could be carrying cups of coffee.  I looked around in my stash of coffee stamps and and found the small cups by JustRite Stamps.  So give me a high five, I'm proud of this one!  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Avery Elle (Brring On The Joy) and Just Rite (Coffee House)
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Cardstock -- Recollections (Purple and White)
Markers -- Copic
Glitter Finish -- Mod Podge by Plaid Enterprises, Inc.
Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger
Clear Glaze -- Mod Podge Dimensional Magic by Plaid
Pop Dots -- All Night Media

I'm also linking these funny penguins up at:

Let It Snow Tag

Today is day 5 at 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist and the theme is snow.  I liked how Carissa Wiley created her snowy effect on her tag.  It inspired me to use glitter glue for an icy snow effect.  I heat embossed snowflakes on an aqua cardstock tag.  The sentiment was created with alphabet stamps on a torn edge patterned paper.  Thanks for stopping by during this busy season.  All I like is putting ornaments on our tree in the den and of course wrapping presents. My youngest will be home from college in a few days so I am trying to get it all done.  Looking forward to baking Christmas treats and spending time with my family!  :)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Hampton Art
Ink Pads -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black) and VersaFine
Embossing Powder -- Clearsnap (White)
Tag Diecut -- Sizzix
Patterned Paper -- DCWV
Metal Flair Button -- Fancy Pants Designs
Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger

This is for Sketch Saturday #492 and the sponsor is Sasayaki Glitter.  The image is called Winter Flamingos and actually has three images.  After looking at sketch #492,  I decided I wanted to use only one large flamingo and cut the other two away when I was "fussy cutting."  This was a fun card to make!  This big pink bird is going to be linking up at:

25 Days Of Christmas Tags -- Penguin Gift Tag

Today is day 25 at 25 Days of Christmas Tags (read all about it here).   The guest for today is Pink and Main.  They have some of the cutest stamps!   My penguin tag was inspired by Lindsey's which had a penguin.  I had a new penguin image by Pink and Main which had not been used (gasp) so today was the day.  I cut the tag out of white chipboard and rubbed it with  aqua ink to color.  Next I stamped a snowflake background over the aqua inked finish with a black ink pad.  After adding a silver tinsel bow, I went around the edges with silver glitter glue.  Hope your Saturday is off to a great start.  Today is the Iron Bowl which is a big deal in Alabama.  It is the day the two big rivals Alabama and Auburn play football....so Roll Tide and War Eagle.  :)

25 Days Of Christmas Tags -- Wreath Tag

Today is day 24 of 25 Days Of Christmas Tags.  If you are a newbie like me, then read all about it here.  I was inspired by Nicole Baez's tag with the wreath on it.  I had a package of tags by Pink Paislee with printed images and one had a wreath.  I heat embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder.  I then added some tiny red jewels and drops of Stickles plus the twine at top.  All in all a fairly fast and quite easy tag which is the best kind on Black Friday!  :)  Do you go out or stay in on Black Friday?  I prefer to stay in, avoid the crowds and have a nice day at home with my youngest daughter who is home from college.

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Llama Burlap Tag

Today is day 13 at Tracy McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. If you are a newbie like me, then read all about it here.  I have been looking forward to the day when Neat and Tangled would be the guest as I had their new Fa La La Llama stamp set.  I have been collecting a few sets with llamas and fell in love with this one because it tops the charts on the CUTE factor.  So I was definitely inspired by Brianna Loefflebein's llama tag today!  :)

For this tag, I backed a piece of red inked chipboard with natural colored burlap.  I went around the edges with glitter Mod Podge to give it sparkle (also dry brushing some on the edges of the mats, stamped scarf, blanket on llama, gift and top of clothes pin).  Remember my crafty shopping trip last week to get black and white gingham I was out of?  Are you surprised that even more ended up in my shopping cart?  I got the Christmas baker's twine and pretty red and white fibers too.  Used them on top of today's tag for the finishing touch. Who says I don't use what I buy?  (Except my hubby and he doesn't count....besides who listens to him anyway when crafty shopping!!!  Wink!)

CARD RECIPE:
Stamps -- Neat & Tangled (Fa La La Llama)
Ink Pads -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black and Cherry)
Markers -- Staedtler
Glitter Finish -- Mod Podge by Plaid Enterprises, Inc.

Fa La La Llama Christmas Card

I have a fun Christmas card to share with you today featuring Neat & Tangled stamps.  The card uses their Fa La La Llama clear stamp set.  So far this year I have fallen in love with unicorns, cats, coffee and NOW llamas.  When I say"falling in love," what I  mean is collecting these things in stamps!  I also made this card with Lea Lawson's Crafty Comeback Party in mind.  On Day 8, her guest was Neat & Tangled and their prize was a chance play along with them and their creative team for a month.  How cool is that!  You can read all about it here at Lea Lawson Creates.   That's all from me as I am out the door to go crafty shopping.  I discovered yesterday I am out of black and white gingham ribbon and that will NEVER do! This means I have to drive 40+ miles to the nearest chain craft store but that's why I drive a Mini Cooper (it zips to craft stores).  Wink.
CARD RECIPE:
Stamps -- Neat & Tangled (Fa La Llama Set)
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Markers -- Staedtler
Cardstock -- Recollections
Diecuts -- Hampton Art (Banner SC0787) and Sizzix (Circle & Holly Leaves)
Paper Crimper -- Fiskars
Fabric Bow -- Pink Paislee
Red Jewels -- KI Memories
Glitter Glue -- Stickles (Diamonds) by Ranger

Unicorn Sparkle Card

Little things make me happy like discovering a new (to ME) stamp company.   It is one of the companies at Lea's Crafty Comeback Party for Day 12 on her blog....Lea Lawson Creates.  The company is The Ink Road.  Where have I been?  Wink.  I am known by friends and family for my "snarky" wit (My daughter gave me a shirt for my birthday which reads...."If Only Sarcasm Burned Calories.")  So when I saw The Ink Road's designs I felt like they were designed for ME!  ;)  I have my eye on several of their sets!  When I actually read Lea's post for day twelve, I got even more excited because I have the chance to win some of their stamps.  A chance at winning is always a good thing because I am a "poor" college mom (here is where you feel sorry for me since my youngest is in college and gets most of our money....wink).    One of the ways to win is post a non-holiday card.  Using The Ink Road stamps is encouraged but if you don't have any then you can use another company's.  I don't have any YET so I created with what I have.  Lea's unicorn card  inspired me to get out a new unicorn set by Newton's Nook.  I also found out The Ink Road has a color challenge and I'm playing there.  It was definitely a challenge too!  I have NEVER used these five colors together on a card: navy, magenta, rust (this is the color which gave me the most trouble using with the other colors), gray and light aqua.  Here is where my unicorn will be sparkling:
