Noel "Cookie" Card

Joining in with the fun at the current Jingle Belles challenge which is to create using the above photo as inspiration.  I chose the Noel Cookie because it reminded me of dies I have by Concord & 9th Nordic Noel.
I also used an older holly and berry die by Sizzix from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your day is going well.  I've been in the kitchen baking three loaves of banana bread...yes, I had black bananas.  :)

Cups of Joy Card

March is here and it is a cloudy rainy day at my house.  Perfect weather to get lost a while in my craft room.  I wanted to make a card for some fun challenges.  I stenciled coffee cups on a green cardstock front with distress oxide ink (Mugs Stencil by Newton's Nook).  The stamped image and sentiment are by Newton's Nook (Holiday Haul).  I thought it would be fun to put cup dies in the bed of the pick-up truck.  I used Newton's Nook Cup of Cocoa die set for the cups.  I put striped washi tape at the top and bottom.  Glad to have another Christmas card done for the 2024 mailings.  Thanks for stopping by and stay dry (hide in your craft room...wink).

Birthday Smiles Card

Uniko is celebrating it's 12th birthday this month.  I have always liked Uniko and their creative and clean style of stamps, stencils, etc.  There has been lots of inspiration from Uniko the month of February in celebration of their birthday plus chances at nice prizes.  I wanted to do a birthday card to help them celebrate!  It will be a nice one to add to my birthday stash because you can never have too many birthday cards!  I used the following stamp sets to create my card: Floral Vines (floral image) and Birthday Wishes (sentiment).  I stamped them using a navy ink and then colored with alcohol markers.  Let's wish Uniko a big Happy 12th Birthday!  Thanks for dropping by and remember to stay crafty!

Funny Birthday Wish Card

I had to do a birthday card for a friend and you know how I love doing funny cards.  I used an older Art Impressions image from my stash (or hoard) of stamps.  I colored the image using alcohol markers.  I also added a touch of glitter on the cake image using pink Stickles.  The sentiment on the front of the card was computer generated using a typewriter font.  I hope this one brought a smile to my friend and YOU.  I'm linking it up at:

Text Background Christmas Tree Card

The current Jingle Belles challenge is Text Me and I wanted to join in on the fun.  I went through my stash of Christmas papers and found a pretty print background.  I used it for the card base and also the background panel for the tree.  I used a word die cut and used the same printed paper.  After matting with red cardstock and putting jewels on the Christmas tree, I have another card ready for the 2024 mailings.  Will be a huge relief when December rolls around.  Hope your weekend is filled with lots of crafty fun.

Blue Dragon Birthday Card

I needed to make a birthday card for a family friend and decided to make it acceptable for the new Luna New Year Challenge blog.  You can either make a Lunar New Year card OR a birthday card there.  I'm also going to link up at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge calling for beautiful blooms.  There are beautiful small flowers on the Asian themed patterned paper I used.  Time Out is also celebrating their 10th birthday.  They are calling for birthday cards to help with the celebration!  That's it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by....hope your week is going well!

Winter Clothes Card

Had fun doing a card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge.  The stamps are an oldie from my stash by Art Impressions.  The sentiment is computer generated (and one I tell myself...at least until it is swimsuit season...wink).  Beautiful day here in the 60's...I think old man winter is hiding today.  Hope you are having a lovely Valentine's Day and remember to stay crafty!  I'm also linking this card up at:

Clause For Celebration Card

There is nothing like waiting until the minute to join a challenge!  Where does the time go?  It seems like it was yesterday the new Jingle Belles challenge went up and here it is now in the final hours!  So let me be fast and get this card linked up before it is too late!  Wink!  I recently got a new Christmas paper stack on clearance at Michael's with lots of pretty reds and this cute Santa.  It was perfect for the Red challenge at Jingle Belles!  The sentiment (one of Scrapbook.com's stamp sets) was stamped in red ink.  I added a quick bow and BAM, another card ready for 2024 Christmas mailings.  Hope you are having a nice day and finding last minute crafty time!  I'm linking jolly St. Nick up at:

Chinese Dragon Birthday Card

There is a new challenge blog I have been wanting to make a card for and finally got to!  I bought a new pattern at the Silhouette Design Store this morning to use.  The dragon die cut I used is called Chinese New Year Dragon (460857).  I also used an Asian background stamp to create the two panels plus a "celebrate" word stamp and square Asian accent.  I'll be mailing this card to a friend who has a birthday coming up soon.  I have been sending her birthday cards for years but this is the first Asian themed card for her.  I think she will be pleasantly surprised.  I'm linking up at the new Lunar New Year Challenge.  Check it out if you haven't heard of it.  Lots of pretty cards and nice prizes too!

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your Wednesday is full of crafting pleasures.

Hot Chocolate Weather Card

I had fun rainy day crafting and did one more for the Not 2 Shabby Monthly Color Challenge.  It has definitely been hot chocolate weather in our area the last few week!  I used the Not 2 Shabby Drink Happy Thoughts stamp sets for the cup/sentiment image.

Thanks for dropping by....and have a cup of hot chocolate!

Snowflake Gnome Card

Rainy days call for creating time in my craft room.  Not 2 Shabby has a monthly color challenge and I wanted to join the January one.  I used their Drink Happy Thoughts stamp set for the image and sentiment.

Jingle Belles (Something Old/I used my old Stampin'Up cardstock and Something New/I used a new Silhouette Cameo snowflake swirl die cut pattern)

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your rainy days!

Birthday Cards

I have a couple of friends (male and female) who have birthdays in January.  The first card uses a stamp set by AALL & Create (Birthday Dee).  I used a new and never before die to trim the stamped image (Pinkfresh Studio Rounded and Braided Die Set).  The patterned striped paper is by Pink & Main.  This one has been mailed and received by my sweet friend.  I am linking it up at these fun challenges:

My second card is for a young male friend and I struggled coming up with something for him.  Everything I picked up in my stash seemed too feminine.  I finally settled on this large sentiment stamp by Darkroom Door (Eat More Cake) which I heat embossed with orange powder on yellow cardstock.
I'm showing the inside of the card which carried out the "birthday cake" theme more.  I hope my young friend likes his card to be mailed soon.  I'm linking this card up at a brand new challenge (yay for new challenges to help us create).  The new challenge is:

Thanks for dropping by.  We have been snowed and iced in since Monday night.  Luckily we had lots of groceries and our power has stayed on!  It has been nice having the family home and we have crafted, worked on jigsaw puzzles, read good books, and watched lots of Hulu and Netflix.   We've also baked cookies and been in the kitchen way too much...wink.   The sun is out today though so I think everyone will be back to work tomorrow.

Gift Wrap Cardinal Card

I got to spend a rainy morning in my craft room.  Crazy weather with thunderstorms going through and then temperatures expected to drop way down tonight.  But no matter how crazy, it makes for nice crafting time!  Jingle Belles has a challenge of making a card with wrapping paper saved from this past Christmas.  One of my husband's friends had his present wrapped in a pretty sentiment gift wrap. However when the present was opened the cardinals and birch tree design was on the under side of the paper.  I immediately knew I wanted to save it for making a card!  I used a die cut pattern from the Silhouette Design store for the cardinal and tree branch.  A stamped sentiment at the top plus musical washi tape and I am on my way to being ready for Christmas mailings in 2024.  Yay!  I'm linking these cardinals up at:

Thanks for dropping by.  Remember to stay warm and dry...hide out in your craft room.
