Merry & Bright Card

I'm sharing a quick card I made this afternoon for some fun challenges.  I used my new Silhouette Cameo to cut the tag and the reindeer die cut.  The patterned paper is by Fancy Pants Designs and I decided to play up the aqua in it for something different.  As You Like It Challenge's is your favorite die and why.  I can't pick a favorite die except on the day I use it.  So today my favorite die is the scalloped tag I cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  ;)  My red nosed reindeer will be playing at:

Three Penguins Holiday Card

I'm still celebrating the holidays the way it looks with my card today.  I think it is this unusual weather for where I live.  We are having colder weather than usual and we even have snow and ice forecast for tomorrow.  It rarely snows where I live so everyone is getting pretty excited.  I'll bet the bread and milk aisles at the grocery store are empty.  ;)  I felt like playing with acrylic paint on this card.  The stars are painted with a small artist brush and three colors of paint (purple, orange and pink).  I also painted the border at the end of the tag plus the patterned paper "ribbon" at top of tag.  Just for fun and maybe because I am starting to get cabin fever because I know I can't go anywhere (roads are starting to close).  :)  Oh well put the kettle on for hot chocolate and make the best of it.  Wink.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you are warm and getting crafty.

These fun penguins are going to waddle by:

For You Interactive Tag

I have a very quick post for an interactive tag I did for 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  I was inspired by the tag with the interactive door.  I didn't have a stamp for a door so I cut one out using a ruler and my exacto knife.

When the "door" is opened, there is a cute penguin with a present for you.  :)  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are not as busy as I am (but know you are).  It is the holiday season and I get up running and end the day the same way.  But it will be worth it in the end and just think of all the calories I am burning.  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Pink & Main
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Markers -- Copic

Spilled Coffee Tag

I have a quick post for a tag I did for 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist plus the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I was inspired by the bright pretty colors of both Sharon and Svitlana's tags.  I used one of my favorite new Christmas stamps.  It is by Technique Junkies and I smile each time I see it because it looks just like my cat Tiger!!!!  I decided to take a little personal liberty with the sentiment to make it fit the coffee lovers blog hop better.  I used alphabet stamps and created the "and spilled" plus a coffee word die cut.  Hope you like my funny tag today and thanks for stopping by.  I am still needing to decorate the tree in the den....It would be long done if I would stop sneaking in my craft room and making tags and cards.  ;)

Warm Wishes Cup Tag

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!  I am decorating, holiday cookie baking and creating....so yes I am having a nice day!  :)  I found my cup shape die at svgcuts (you can find it here) a few days ago and it was free.  I finally figured out how to cut it using my ScanNCut2 (which was no easy feat being the computer non-genius I am).  I am joining in at 12 Tags For Christmas With A Feminine Twist for day 9 with a color challenge of red, white and wintergreen.  I was inspired by how Heather flicked on diluted white paint on her tag.  I did the same on my red mug die and think it looks like red enamel speckled ware.   On a piece of wintergreen cardstock, I heat embossed the image sentiment with white embossing powder.  I had some wooden natural colored snowflakes and painted one of them white to put in the upper corner.  This tag actually opens up (like a card) and I think it would be great to put a Starbucks gift card in.  This tag is also perfect for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  :)  Thanks for dropping by during this busy season!  I better get back to the tree since I am determined to finish it TODAY.  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamp -- Neat & Tangled
Ink Pad -- Versafine
Embossing Powder -- Stampendous (White Detail
Mug Die -- svgcuts.com

Warm Wishes Coffee Tag

The Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop started today.  What fun!  This will be my first "winter" one.   I used the sketch over at 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist for the base of my tag. (I was inspired by all the pretty colors in both Lisa Adametz and Jill Foster's tags.)  I used a new stamp set by Pink & Main which is perfect for the winter theme of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Keeping this short as I have had a terribly busy day and find myself tired!!!!  Still don't have my tree up in the den but tomorrow is the day!  ;)  I'm anxious to get to wrapping presents too as I have all these pretty tags to use.  (The ones I did for 25 Days of Tags and now the 12 Days of Tags....there are going to be some pretty boxes under our tree!)  :)  I'm also in the mood to bake some Christmas cookies.....so many plans for the weekend!  Let's see how many things actually get accomplished.  ;)

Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Markers -- Staedtler

Victorian Christmas Tag

I am in the midst of decorating our main tree today but took a break to make a tag for 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  It was nice to sit down, rest and get crafty a few minutes.  I had to ponder a little while on today's tag with the pink, mint and gold colors (actually just a good excuse to sit and rest a tad longer.)  ;)  I was inspired by Elena Roussakis's tag where she did a layered shaker tag minus the shake part.  I found the patterned paper in my stash by Prima Marketing which had the mint and pink colors.  It reminded me of a Victorian Christmas so that's the look I went for.  I die cut the scalloped oval tag twice (once in patterned paper and once in gold foil board).  I used pop dots between the two for diminsion to create my faux shaker card.  Better get back to decorating our tree....I've rested long enough!  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamp -- Unity Stamp Company
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Patterned Paper -- Prima Marketing, Inc.
Gold Foil Board -- DCWV

I have a quick post  for day 6 of 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  The theme for today is use green, purple and grey on your tag.  I was inspired by Daniela Dobson's tag and her coloring of her image.
I stamped my images with gray ink and colored them with Copic markers.  I used a white chalk marker to add stitch marks plus some polka dots.  After a super busy day, I'll just say thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.  :)

Let It Snow Tag

Today is day 5 at 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist and the theme is snow.  I liked how Carissa Wiley created her snowy effect on her tag.  It inspired me to use glitter glue for an icy snow effect.  I heat embossed snowflakes on an aqua cardstock tag.  The sentiment was created with alphabet stamps on a torn edge patterned paper.  Thanks for stopping by during this busy season.  All I like is putting ornaments on our tree in the den and of course wrapping presents. My youngest will be home from college in a few days so I am trying to get it all done.  Looking forward to baking Christmas treats and spending time with my family!  :)

Watercolored All Roads Christmas Tag

It is day 4 of Ellen Hutson's The Classroom tag event.  You can read all about it here.  Today the challenge was to create a tag and use watercolors.  I love the look of watercolor but I am not very good at it.  I am still "learning" but I do enjoy trying my hand at it.  :)  My inspiration for today is Laurel Beard's tags.  She used round tags as a reminder we do not always have to use a fancy tag die.  So I went through my dies and chose this pretty scalloped edge rectangle.  Thanks, Laurel for reminding me to look at my dies "as tags."  :)
Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me during this busy busy season.  I finally got two of my trees decorated this morning!  I did the tree in our breakfast room which is my "Santa" tree (nothing on it but Santa ornaments).  I also did the tree in the glass room which is a skinny tree with lots of varied ornaments we have collected over the years.   I still like our main tree in the den but am planning on getting it done tomorrow.....if I can tear myself away from making Christmas tags and cards.  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Jillibean Soup (truck image) and Unity Stamp Company (sentiment)
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Watercolor Markers -- Spectrum Aqua Markers
Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger
Diecut -- Lifestyle Crafts
Christmas Twine -- Recollections

Merry Christmas Tag

Back with a quick post....I have to get busy cooking.  My hubby said he was craving an omelet so we will be having a "breakfast" supper.  Suits me as this will be easy and I might get to work on those Christmas trees (begging to have ornaments put on them).  But then again it is Walking Dead night so maybe not.....I promise I will have them decorated before Christmas!  :)

I did this tag for the 12 Days of Christmas December Challenge over at Power Poppy.  On day one, the challenge was tags so you know I had to play.  I don't have any Power Poppy stamps (sad but true) so I used what I had.  I wanted my tag to have a vintage feel since I felt the ones at Power Poppy had an antique feel.  Thanks for stopping by and get busy and decorate your tree.  Don't be like me and keep finding excuses not to (like making tags).  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamps -- Hampton Art
Ink Pad -- and Tim Holtz Distress Oxides and Ranger
Watercolor Paper -- Canson
Cardstock and Twine -- Recollections
Markers -- Staedtler
Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger

Season's Greeting Tags

Instead of decorating my trees today, I headed to my craft room and made tags.  I did get the ornament boxes out of the attic so maybe tonight or in the morning....baby steps I guess.  :)    I'm having too much fun making tags for the 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist over at Ellen Hutson's Classroom blog.  Today I was inspired by Julie Ebersole's tag.  I liked how she used a felt tree on kraft cardstock with baker's twine at the top of her tag.  I have always admired how white looks on kraft cardstock so I heat embossed my sentiments.  I cut small red felt trees with a Sizzix Framelit die.  Julie attached her felt tree on her tag by sewing. Since my felt trees were very small I decided to staple them on with Tim Holtz mini staples.  I topped each tree with a single green sequin.  I put a Christmas mix baker's twine in the top of my tags.  I cut too many trees and had a couple of white cardstock tags laying on my desk so made them up too with a green ink.  You can never have too many tags at Christmas. (My girls like to help themselves to my crafty works).  :)  These were simple to make but I really like how they turned out.  Thanks for stopping by this busy time of year and who knows I might have my trees decorated the next time you visit.  ;)

TAG RECIPE:
Stamp -- Jillibean Soup
Ink Pad -- Versafine and Clearsnap (Spearmint on the white tags.)
Embossing Powder -- Clearsnap (White)

Silver and Gold Merry Ornament Tags

Instead of decorating our Christmas trees today, I am making tags!  This is my first time to join in on the fun at Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  On day two, I was inspired by Keeway Tsao's ornament tags.  I liked the shape plus how she used the snowflake and word dies.  I used silver and gold foil boards for my tags which do not show up as pretty in my photo as they are in person.  (So take my word for it....they look pretty.  Wink!)  Guess I better get going.....maybe I can talk someone into helping me decorate those trees.  If not, then tomorrow is another day!  ;)

3D Christmas Star Tag

I am joining in on the fun at Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist.  I was so excited when I found out about it.  I love making tags!  :)  I had planned on getting our trees decorated today but instead headed to my craft room.  (I did get the trees out of the attic and set up....but the ornaments had to wait so I could make tags.  ;)  On day one, I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's 3D die cuts tags.  I loved her tree tag but did not have a tree die.  She mentioned stars in her video so I used a Sizzix Framelits primitive star die.  I was very happy with the way this star tag turned out and both of my daughters were impressed when they saw it!  ;)

CARD RECIPE:
Stamps -- Jillibean Soup
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Strawberry)
Patterned Cardstock -- DCWV

25 Days Of Christmas Tags -- Merry Tag

I have not been in my craft room for several days because I have been trying to get the house decorated for Christmas.  I wish I could say I have finished the decorating but I still like putting up the trees.  But I do have the mantel decorated, all the beds have their Christmas quilts, the Christmas dishes have been put in the kitchen cabinets, the breakfast room Christmas tablecloth has been ironed and put on the table (it is under glass),  the couch has its Christmas pillows and all the Christmas flower/lights arrangements are in place.  So I'm off to a good start and I'll get those trees up tomorrow or Saturday.  Said all that to say this....I have missed creating this week !!! I decided to slip in my craft room  and make a tag because there are a few hours left at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  My inspiration was a tag done by Kimber McGray when Jillibean Soup was guest on day 17.  I liked how Kimber used the patterned papers and turned them at an angle.  Guess I better get going...those trees are not going to decorate themselves!

I had a nice surprise when I found out there is a bonus day at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  (Read all about 25 Days of Christmas Tags here.)  For day 26 (bonus day), I was inspired by Kristine Reynold's purple penguin tag.  I loved how she used the color purple and her penguin image.  My purple penguin tag is going to be skating by:
