It has rained all day so it seemed like the perfect weather for a day of crafty fun. My first card is for the
Cut It Up Challenge of "Inspired By A Love Song." One of my favorite love songs is "Color My World" by the rock band Chicago. If you are unfamiliar with it, go give it a listen
here. :) I stenciled a colorful background with Distress Oxide ink pads. I cut the treble clef with my Silhouette and stamped the world image (Fiskars). For the sentiment, I used a Dymo label maker and adhered a few sequins for the finishing touches. I used to be able to play Color My World on the piano but haven't tried to in a few years....I may have to give it a try again soon. :) I'm linking this one to:
My second card is one I did for
AAA Cards Clean and Simple Challenges. The current challenge is "one corner + music." I also kept the
Jingle Belles "All That Glitters" challenge in mind. I used a shiny gold metallic ink pad (
Delicata Golden Glitz) to stencil music notes in the lower right corner (plus stamped the sentiment with same ink pad). I colored the stamped caroling cat image (
Gerda Steiner Designs Carol Kitten) and colored it with alcohol markers. I fussy cut it out and adhered to corner with foam tape. I used some gold foil cardstock to punch out three musical notes which were adhered around the cat image. My photo does not show how pretty and shiny the ink and foil musical notes are (so please use your imagination....wink). Fun card to make. :)
