Merry and Bright Tree Tag

The final challenge for day twelve at Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas is use a clear element.   I was inspired by Amy's tag today and how she used her clear acetate. I cut out a tree with my Silhouette Cameo3 and then backed it with clear acetate.  Next I mounted the tree on a tag with foam tape for added dimension.  For the final touch, I added a clear glitter glue on top of the clear acetate portions of the tree (so clear on clear).  I have enjoyed doing all 12 days of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas so much.  This is an event I look forward to each year because making tags to add to packages or your Christmas cards is just plain FUN!  :)  I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and getting ready for jolly old St. Nick.  I have finished all my Christmas shopping and now need to wrap!  Then I need to get in the kitchen and get to baking and cooking.  So much to do but I'll get it done.....I do every year.  ;)  I'll be linking my festive tree tag up at:

Birch Tree Holiday Tags

Day eleven at Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas is a Neutral Color Challenge.  I was inspired by Miriam Prantner's tag with the grays.  I die cut a gray cardstock tag.and put stenciled music strips on it to resemble birch trees.  I had a new die of birds by Memory Box which were the perfect size for these tags.  I stamped the sentiment (Reverse Confetti) with red ink.  I'm linking these up at:

Elf Joy Tags

I have been having fun today getting my tags done for the final three days of Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Tags.  For day ten, the challenge was to use non-traditional colors (no red and green together).  I was inspired by the pink in Brandi's tag and the turquoise in Julie's tag.  I used stamps and tag dies from Reverse Confetti on my tags.  Colored the images with Copics and then cut them out using my Scan N Cut2.  The alphabet stickers are by My Mind's Eye.  These feisty elves are going to link up at:

Feel The Joy Tag

It is a watercolor challenge for day ten at Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Tags.  I managed to make this tag in between ironing three hours (yep, it had piled up) and fixing a breakfast casserole.  My bunch likes to have "breakfast" suppers and I do a mean Sausage, Biscuit and Gravy Casserole.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper with a black VersaFine ink pad.  I watercolored the image using Spectrum Noir Aqua Watercolor Markers.  I applied the color to a clear acrylic block and used a small artist brush with water.  I was inspired by Kelly Griglione and the way she layered her tags.

I'm linking this tag up at:

Sending Love At Christmas Tag

The challenge for day nine at Ellen's 12 Tags of Christmas is create a tag with floral elements.  I was inspired by Sharon Harnist and her beautiful tag.  I had fun getting caught up making my tags today for Ellen's 12 Days of Tags.   I'm linking this one up at:

Black and White Holiday Tags

I'm playing catch-up today for Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Tags.  I didn't get to make tags yesterday as I finally got around to decorating our Christmas trees.  Yay!  Sometimes you have to do other things besides create in your craft room....wink.  :)  Today I woke up early to a cold and rainy day, got a cup of coffee and headed to my craft room.  Day seven's challenge was a black and white color scheme.  I was inspired by Lisa Spangler.  Once I got started making these tags, I couldn't stop!  Fun, fun, fun!

I even made 54 of the tag which says "no peeking."  Now all I need to do is start wrapping presents and use them!  :)  I'm going to link these tags up at:

Let It Snow Mugs Card

All good things come to an end and so this is my last card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I wanted to stay in my craft room today but my little voice (do you have one of those?) told me to "get to work."  Time to get trees decorated and rooms back in order (toting ornament boxes back to attic).  So I was good and listened to my little voice (but still would rather have been in my craft room drinking coffee and making coffee cards).  Thanks to Amy for putting together another FUN blog hop.  I've had a good time and hope you have enjoyed seeing all my caffeine fueled inspirations.  :)  Until next time........

Merry Christmas Y'all Coffee Holiday Card

I at almost at the finish line with my holiday coffee cards.  I have one more almost finished but been busy getting my trees decorated.  Decided today was the day (or else Christmas was going to be here and trees still bare...wink).  So I'll keep this short and sweet since the time for posting our coffee cards is almost up (sniff, sniff).  It has been a fun hop (like they always are)....full of beautiful cards for inspiration and fabulous prizes from generous sponsors.

Happy Santa Coffee Card

The time is nearly up for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  This is where I put on my "sad" face.  It has been fun creating in my crafty cave and avoiding all the "Christmas chores."  :)  Speaking of Christmas chores, you will be glad to know I have decorated two of our three trees TODAY plus hope to finish the third.  I'm ready to get all the Christmas ornament boxes back in the attic and my house back in order.   I made this Santa card last night trying to get my Christmas cards finished up.  I need to be addressing them and getting them on their way.  This "happy" coffee drinking Santa will be linking up at:

Cup of Cheer Holiday Card

I got a new paper pad from Michael's a few weeks ago and was thrilled with one of the images in it.  I knew it would make a fast and easy holiday card.  I added a stamped sentiment by Hero Arts, baker's twine bow and a few snowflake spankles...and almost instant gratification.  (Wink.)  If you haven't been joining in on the fun at the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, then you have been missing out.  I'm dreading when it is ends because I won't have any more excuses for not doing all the holiday "chores."  ;)  Oh well, enjoy it while it lasts!  :)

Extra Cheer Coffee Card

I have been busy making cards for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop this afternoon.  Having fun and enjoying one of my favorite online events.  Thanks to Amy Tsuruta for all her hard work at putting this huge blog hop together with lots and lots of inspiration and prizes.  For this card, I cut out the large to go coffee cup with my Silhouette Cameo.  The stamped sentiments are by Clearsnap.

Foiled Merry Coffee Card

Playing with my hot foil machine on this card.  I hot foiled the merry diecut word with gold foil.  The sentiment and cup were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  Easy peasy.

My foiled card will be linking up at:

O Tannebaum Tag

For day six at Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Tags, the challenge is create a tag with woodgrain elements.  I'll admit I had to put on my thinking cap for this one.  :)  I was inspired by both Laurel and Carly's tags with the trees.  I finally remembered I had an embossing folder which was woodgrain.  I embossed my kraft cardstock tag with the woodgrain folder.  Then I used my new hot foil machine and green foil to "color" the diecut tree (plus used the "leftovers" for a mat on the sentiment.  The sentiment was typed.  I put small green jewels on the foiled tree for extra sparkle.

Coffee To Go Holiday Card

Been playing in my craft room making coffee themed Christmas cards today.....just letting the trees go, wrapping undone and no baking (laundry or anything else really).  Wink!  But since the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop is getting close to the end, it is all about priorities.  ;)  All the "chores" will still be there when it is over.  So I'm going to enjoy being crafty one more day!  When I was going through my stash of stamps, I saw this little dog driving his card and instantly thought "coffee to go."  :)  This caffeine fueled dog is going to link up at:

Fa la la....are you making Christmas cards?  Better yet are you making coffee themed Christmas cards?  The Coffee Lover's Winter Blog Hop is going strong!!!!    Here is another creation I did while hiding out in my craft room (those trees are still waiting for ornaments).  I still think I have my priorities right though.....wink.  I had such fun making this card.  I used four different stamp companies coming up with this one.  This coffee drinking snowman and his "friends" will be dropping by:

Joy Java Merry Christmas Card

Are you as busy as I am this week?  Lots of holiday things to do but making the top of my list is "get ornaments on my trees!"  ;)  I know, I know....been saying it for days!  ;)  BUT if it is going to happen, this has to be a quick post.  I have a word die by Winnie & Walter which was begging to be cut out of red fun foam (blame Amy).  With the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop going on everything takes on a whole new light.  Suddenly the "y" looked like a cup shelf to me!  (Snicker.)  The image and sentiment are by Pink and Main and can be found here.

Winter Magic Gift Card Tag

I made one more tag today before I quit....I know I should be decorating Christmas trees but.....:)  I was glad to see Nicole Baez's tag at Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Christmas Tags. It gave me inspiration to create a "gift card tag."  I have a Starbucks gift card which I want to give my daughter (ssshhhh, don't tell her) and this just fit the bill.  Die cut two tags, trim one as shown and adhere creating a pocket.  Makes for a fast and simple gift card holder and the possibilities are endless if you have as many stamps as I do.  :)  I'll be linking this cocoa drinking (or maybe coffee) gal up at:

Merry Christmas Car Tag

Well, you know me....instead of decorating my Christmas trees, I'm in my craft room making tags.  ;)  I am going to decorate trees this afternoon though....maybe.  Course I might head back to my craft room.  Wink! This is day five of Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Tags With A Feminine Twist.  I have to confess I am in love with both of today's tags.  Therese Calvird and Nicole Baez created some awesome inspiration.  I loved Therese's cute tag with the trees and car.  I remember I had a Tim Holtz die with a car and trees so I got to work.  I used Distress Oxide ink to color a white cardstock tag.  I cut the trees out of green, pink and white cardstocks.  I found a gift stamp image in my stash which I could put in the trunk of the car die cut.  I used a white chalk marker to dot my tag and trees for "snow."  Then for the last step, I added Stickles glitter glue for added sparkle.  I had fun making this one so thank you Therese for the inspiration.  I'm linking this classic card up at:

Cup O' Joe Holiday Card

The Coffee Lover's Winter Blog Hop is inspiring me to hide out in my craft room.  Who wants to decorate, wrap, or cook for Christmas when you can be making coffee cards?  :)  (Course my bunch would vote for decorating, wrapping and cooking....snicker).  Don't worry family, it will get done.....eventually. (Wink.)  One of my favorite color combos is black, white and red.  I'm creating for fun (and necessity cause I still need more Christmas cards).  This stamp image by Technique Junkies (Christmas Kitty) cracks me up each time I use it since it looks like my cat (except my cat doesn't usually wear a Santa hat).  ;)    This playful kitty will be linking up at:

Merry and Bright Ornament Tag/Card

The challenge for day four at Ellen's 12 Days of Tags With A Feminine Twist is embossing.  I used a Neat & Tangled image (Merry and Bright) and heat embossed it with silver.  I was inspired by Justine Hovey's tags.  I loved her pink color scheme plus the silver embossing.

Since I am still working on Christmas cards, I put the tag on a card after finishing it.

Silver Glitter Merry Tag/Card

After a long and busy Monday, I couldn't wait to get in my craft room and "chill" for a little while.  I was eager to do a tag for day three of Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Tags With A Feminine Twist.  Day three is all about sparkle.  I used glittered fun foam for the first time.  I love how it sparkles like glitter but without all the actual mess of using real glitter.  If I ever use glitter, I am sparkling for years....wink.  Since I still need a few more Christmas cards before I start mailing them, I put this tag on a card.  Thanks for stopping by.
This tag/card will be sparkling at:

Coffee Hipster Santa Card

The Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is going strong and I am back with another fun coffee card.  I am working on Christmas coffee cards plus general Christmas cards which means my craft room looks like a tornado passed over it.  I usually clean it up after each card and put things back where they go.....but who has time for that with blog hops AND Christmas?  (Wink.)  My hip Santa will be ho ho hoing at:

Warm Wishes Holiday Coffee Card

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Yep, the Coffee Lover's Winter Blog Hop is going on!  Lots of fun, prizes, and inspiration!  I'm making Christmas cards, decorating trees, shopping, working, and the lists goes on and on.  Oh yea, I'm also doing a little traveling.  I went to see Steve Martin and Martin Short in Birmingham on Thursday night (November 29th).  I haven't laughed so much in FOREVER.  ;)  We stayed the night too....oh, the big city life.  ha-ha  Did you notice the patterned paper on this card?  Isn't it pretty with all the cups and mugs of coffee?  This is in one of the new holiday paper pads at Michael's.  It also has unicorns, mermaid and other fun images in it.  The pad is called Holiday Bash.  The stamp image and sentiment are by Pink and Main.  I used fun foam for the die cut sentiment (thanks again, Amy).  :)  These delicious looking mugs will be linking up at:
