Joining the Time Out Challenges CASe A Card Challenge with this card. I was inspired by Michele's sentiment in the center of her beautiful card plus the foliage peeking out from behind the die cut shape. I used a soft shade of blue card stock for the base, center die cut and die cut sentiment (which I cut out five times and adhered together for extra dimension). I used a pretty flamingo washi tape to add interest at the top and bottom of the card base. I die cut four green and two gold metallic cardstock leaf branches to tuck under the round shape (like Michele had done hers). I added a green hemp bow and some gold sequins for the finishing touch. Fun card to make and can't wait to mail to this week! Thanks for dropping in and remember to stay crafty!

Java Merry Christmas Card
Spent a happy morning in my craft room playing with stamps and dies. I realized I had not joined the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge for February. Decided it was now or never! :) I used a stamp set by Pink & Main (which I discovered is discontinued now). The patterned heart knit stitched paper is by Recollections. I also used a small heart shaped brad on the stamped cup images. I'll be linking this one up at the following challenges:
Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge (Coffee + Hearts)
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Slimline Cards)
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (Food or Drink)
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are having a fun and crafty weekend.

Shamrocks Cards With Wax Resist Technique
I'm back with another wax paper/embossing folder inked background. I can't believe I had never tried this technique before. I love the results as it looks somewhat like batik art. Here is a quick run-through if you have never done this before. Gives you another fun thing to do with your embossing folders!
1. Trim wax paper a little larger than your embossing folder.
2. Scrunch up wax paper to wrinkle and then smooth out again.
3. Insert wax paper into your embossing folder and emboss.
4. Place trimmed white cardstock over top and bottom of embossed wax paper.
5. Fold a piece of plain copy paper in half. Insert the cardstocks with wax paper in between.
6. Iron over the copy paper (with cardstocks in between it). Have iron on high.
7. Use a large sponge dauber and an ink pad to apply color to the ironed piece.
That's all there is to it and the results turn out quite pretty!!! Try to use embossing folders with a pattern instead of a background for best results. For this one, I used a Sizzix Embossing folder with a pattern of leaves. The stamps are by Colorado Craft Company. I also used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for my inspiration (flipped it).
Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.
Butterfly Embossed Card
Have you ever used your embossing folder with wax paper to create a batik looking background paper? This is my first time trying this technique but I'm sure it won't be my last. It was quite fun. Trim a piece of wax paper a little larger than your embossing folder. Scrunch up the wax paper wrinkling it. Smooth it out again and run through the embossing folder. Next put trimmed white cardstock on top and bottom of the embossed wax paper. Last put this between a piece of folded plain copy paper and run your iron over it. The fun part is adding ink to the ironed pieces with a large sponge dauber. Inside the frame above you can see what the finished piece looks like. I used the same embossing folder for the waxed resist as I did embossing the pink cardstock on the front of the card. This opens up another world for your embossing folders. Use embossing folders with patterns (instead of backgrounds) for best results. This pink butterflies birthday card is joining the below challenges:

Pink Embossed Hearts Woof You Card
There is a new challenge blog for embossing folders! It is Can You Handle The Pressure? The first challenge is Anything Goes with the option of a twist of pink. How fun is that! I have a weakness for embossing folders and have the collection to prove it. I have been using and collecting them for many years! I still needed one Valentine card so decided to use a hearts embossing folder on pink cardstock. This embossing folder is by Sizzix and I have had it for years! The stamp images and stamped sentiment are by Recollections from a couple of years ago. The "love" word die is by Momento (cut out seven and adhered together for extra dimension). Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!

Christmas Stockings Card
It's time for a new Jingle Belles Challenge. The above stockings photo is the inspiration for this challenge. I had a new stamp set by Concord and 9th (Merry Mantle) which was perfect. As luck would have it, I found a brick pattern stencil in my stash which I inked with Distress Oxide ink pads on a white card stock panel. After inking the stockings image, I colored it with the same colors as the stocking in the inspiration photo. I fussy cut the stockings out and adhered to the card panel along with a stamped mantel and die cut greenery (from Momento Fireplace die set). The sentiment is from the Merry Mantle set. I added a light teal colored bowed to the top left of the greenery on the mantle to mimic the photo. This card was easy plus FUN. Hope all of you have a nice weekend planned. We are trying to watch all the best picture nominees before the Oscars are aired. I finished The Power of the Dog book this afternoon so we have plans to watch the movie on Netflix tonight. Exciting times at our house I tell ya (wink)!!!!! Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!

Floral Birthday Card -- Celebrating Uniko's 10th Birthday
One more birthday card to help Uniko celebrate 10 years in business. I used a couple of Uniko sets for this black and white clean and simple card. The floral image is from Uniko's I LOVE Tea Clear Stamp Set and the sentiment is their Simply Said Blocks Clear Stamp Set. Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.

A Partridge In A Pear Tree Card
I'm determined to make Christmas cards all during 2022 so I won't be caught short like I was in 2021. To help me accomplish this, I am having fun joining the Jingle Belles challenges. The current one is called Twelve Days of Christmas and gives you three alternatives. First is make a card for your true love or special person. Second alternative is put hearts on your Christmas card. The final alternative is reference any part of the song Twelve Days of Christmas. I ended up using the "partridge in a pear tree " from the song plus I also used heart shaped rhinestones so I'm going with two of the three alternatives. I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut the pattern (#280002 Silhouette Design Store). The sentiment is computer generated and the heart rhinestones are by DCWV. I'm also going to link this card up at the ABC Christmas Challenge. Addicted To Stamps and More also has a Christmas theme so my partridge wants to play there too. Thanks for dropping in to visit and remember to craft on cold winter days like today!!!!!! (Wink.)
Birthday Candles Uniko Birthday Card
Uniko is celebrating ten years in business this month. They have planned on fun activities to help celebrate this event. One of the events is to create a birthday card using their products and link it up here for a chance at a fabulous prize. I used Uniko's stamp set "Simply Said Blocks" on this card. I used a yellow Copic marker to create the flame above my stamped candles. Thanks for stopping by and try to stay warm!
