New SOL Stamps

Sharing a couple of new stamp sets with you today from The Stamps of Life. The first one is called stamps4bubbly. (There is also a flip-it card and framelits by Sizzix which match the shape of this one.....just in case you are interested. Wink.) This is a cute set to make quick and easy cards. I used a polka dot washi tape by The Stamps of Life too which was perfect for the polka dot stamp enclosed with the set. The second set is called happy4banners and it has a matching die which can be purchased separately. This is a fun stamp set which covers almost all the sentiments you need for making a card. For my sample, I used the "happy anniversary" banner and paired it with Stamps of Life patterned paper, a paper doily and baker's twine. How's that for fast and easy? Thanks for stopping by. SOL Dragonfly Card

Have a quick post for a card I did with a Stamps of Life dragonfly die. I trimmed some watercolor paper and used watercolor crayons (by Staedtler) to create the background. Then I cut the dragonfly out of watercolor paper and black cardstock. Did the wings the same way as the background. Stamped a quick sentiment and glued some sequins on for a fast and easy card. The pretty gingham bow is by The Stamps of Life too. It doesn't get any easier than this folks. Stayed tuned for more fast and easy from yours truly.

The Stamps of Life Banner Cards

There is a new stamp set at The Stamps of Life called banners4planners. Check out my two card samples as well as the ones in the Stamps of Life gallery. On the birthday card above, I stamped the banner image on patterned paper and cut out the little owls from Stamps of Life paper. The sentiment is also from patterned paper from Stamps of Life plus the cardstock and twine. Fast and easy card which is the way I like them. :) I used the polka dot banner stamp on this card which I stamped in red. Each was trimmed closely and adhered along the top along with twine from The Stamps of Life. The patterned paper, cardstock and twine are also by the Stamps of Life. banners4planners could be used for a lot of different occasions and are such fun. You know you need them. :) Hope your week has been a good one. My hubby and I were able to sneak away one afternoon this week and see The Martian. I had read the book a few months ago and was eagerly awaiting the movie. Hubby had not read the book but needless to say we both enjoyed the movie. Stamps of Life Merry Christmas Dies

There are cute new Merry Christmas dies at The Stamps of Life. You can whip out a Christmas card in no time with these beauties. I used kraft cardstock for my card base and then used red and green cardstock for the words. The pretty wide red grosgrain ribbon is by The Stamps of Life too. I glued some sequins and twine bows in the lower right corner and like "magic" I had a fast and very easy card. You can see the die HERE. There is nothing cozier than being at home with a good fire going in the 'ole fireplace. There is a new stamp set at The Stamps of Life called presenttriplits2stamp and it goes with Sizzix Triplit Gifts dies. I love how versatile this stamp set is. You could use it for birthdays (like my sample), graduation, wedding, Christmas and on and on. You will definitely get your money's worth from this set! My sample is ia very quick and easy one. I used Stamps of Life cardstock along with ribbon. I added some sequins and a button and almost "instant gratification." Thanks for stopping in today.

September SOL Release

I have a quick post for you about the September Stamps of Life release of stockings2stamp (with matching dies). There is also a coordinating set called patterns4stockings. See all the fun sample cards in the Stamps of Life galley. Hope you have had a nice Labor Day. I have spent most of it "laboring" with some projects but I did manage time for fun too. I love reading and have been thinking of making myself a "reading nook." You know a place to curl up and relax with a good book. So to make it happen, I ordered a very comfortable chaise lounge for our bedroom. We have a wall of windows where the light is wonderful for reading in the mornings or afternoons. My chair was delivered today (after being order back in July)! Yea! So I spent the afternoon getting my new reading nook created. I guess you know where you will find me reading now. I may have to order the mug I saw which says "Go Away! I'm reading!" :) Happy Labor Day (or reading day)! :) Visit again soon....I have fun new cards to share with new Stamps of Life products. :)

SOL August Release of tshirt2stamp

There is a cute new stamp set at The Stamps of Life called tshirt2stamp. I'm sharing a couple of samples I did with it today and just saying you might want to come back on the 7th for some more. Wink! The first sample is called Birthday Girl and features Stamps of Life cardstock, patterned papers, twine and pink jeweled embellishment as well as the tshirt2stamp stamp set. My second sample is a quick and easy one using a Sizzix flip-it card die along with Stamps of Life cardstock and ribbon. Hopefully you will get the idea. I'm not always sure of the best way to photograph the flip-it cards. :)Check out all the other great samples of this set at the SOL gallery. We moved our youngest daughter back to college this weekend to her first apartment. She was excited to be out of the dorms. :) So I have a little quieter house to get used to again. This "mom" stuff is hard sometimes. :) Excited for her though and wishing I had had such a nice apartment when I went to college. It was so nice I didn't want to leave. Wink! Patriotic Popsicles

I promised more popsicle card samples yesterday so here they are. Decided not to keep you waiting. :) In case you forgot, these were made with the new popsicle dies by The Stamps of Life. They go with pops2eat and patterns4pops stamp sets. It's getting close to the 4th of July so I was feeling a little patriotic when I made them. New Popsicle Dies

One of my favorite stamp sets at The Stamps of Life is pops2eat (plus its matching set called patterns4pops). Just fun stamps sets which remind me of my childhood...I mean did you ever get all the popsicles you wanted when you were a child? I definitely didn't. :) So how great is it that Stephanie released a matching die set for these stamps? I had a lot of fun with the new dies! Sharing a couple of my new popsicle cards today and will share more in a few more days. The card above has popsicles which were heat embossed. Heat embossing them makes them look almost "real." I also added some micro-beads at the top of each for "sprinkles." The pretty green ribbon plus pink cardstock are by The Stamps of Life too. This card was done with several colors of ink by Stephanie (her Clearsnap dye ink pads). I used Banana, Tangerine and Guava for the popsicle colors. The patterned paper, twine and flowers are by The Stamps of Life too. It is so hot at my house it is definitely popsicle weather. :) Going to buy banana popsicles on my next grocery run and then head outdoors to eat one (or two). Thanks for stopping by. Patterns For Whales Stamp Set

Time for the new patterns4whales Stamps of Life stamp set I promised on June 1st. Don't you just love the polka dot whales? I created the water on the polka dot whale card using vellum. I colored it blue from behind and applied some glitter Mod Podge for "sparkle." I created a frame using a Sizzix Framelit rectangle die which adds a little interest too. :) The set also has chevron whales...how fun is that? The patterned paper is by Stamps of Life too and the blue chevrons reminded me of "waves"....plus they matched the whales. The anchor is from a punch by EK Success which I purchases several months ago. This card only used the sentiments from patterns4whales and the whale die. Again I used some white vellum and stamped the waves which are colored from behind. The patterned paper is by Stamps of Life. I used Sizzix Framelits oval dies to create the diecuts and frame (plus foam tape for added dimension). Last but not least (and my favorite) is a card which used the sentiments only plus whale die. The patterned paper and the pretty pink jewel embellishments are by Stamps of Life too. The yellow doily is a die from Sizzix. Hope your day is going well. Whaley Fun Stamp Set

There are new stamps at The Stamps of Life this month you are whaley going to love. Sorry for the pun but I couldn't resist. The set is whale2stamp and there is a matching die available for it too. I have one sample with the set but make sure you come back on June 7th to see four more whaley cute cards with the additional set release. May Stamps of Life Release

Can you believe it is the first day of May? Yep, you know what that means.....time for new stamps from The Stamps of Life. This set is called piggybank2stamp and has FUN all over it! :) Take a look at my samples (and see others in the Stamps of Life gallery). You will also want to watch for May 7th when there will be a CUTE coordinating set to go with piggybank2stamp. Can't show that one yet but take my word for it....you will want it. ;) There is also a matching die set to go with these set too. It makes cutting out the pig soooo easy. After a very wet spring, it looks like the sun has come to shine in Alabama (for a few days anyway). I have had the best week. I was able to get outside and wash my very dirty Mini Cooper. I got our front porch washed off (all that nasty yellow pollen washed away) and put out the porch chairs, etc. Now I can sit outside and read! That is one of my favorite outdoor activities. Stamps of Life March Extra Sets Release

Time for some new stamps from The Stamps of Life. I had the pleasure to work with tripletflower2stamp and happycalligraphy2stamp this month. These were especially fun to work with on these cold, snowy winter days at home. :) We hardly get any snow where I live and we have had two snowfalls in the last two weeks! I know a lot of you are tired of all the snow but we enjoyed it....course it will be nice to see spring too. Did you remember to roll your clock ahead this morning? The Stamps of Life March Club Release

I am in love with the March club release by The Stamps of Life.  It is a fun, fun, fun set called bicycle2stamp.  
I am sharing four fast and easy cards I created with the stamps plus matching dies.  (There is also a pretty "hello" die included in the die set.)  I've always had a weakness for bicycle stamps.  I think it is because you get the fun without having to break a sweat (unless your craft room is "hot.")  :)  I recently purchased an exercise bike which has a desk on the front of it.  I'm using it while I read or on my laptop for exercise but let me tell you it is not near as much fun as riding a bike outside (or stamping a bicycle)!  :)  But I digress....check out my fun samples plus all the other great samples at the The Stamps of Life gallery.



Can you believe it is the first day of March?  I can't!  :)  This past week we had the largest snowfall I have ever seen in my lifetime (and I am "ancient.")  We got a whole ten inches!  Don't laugh because it hardly snows where I live and if it does then four inches is considered a blizzard.  :)  It was beautiful and I loved looking out at our winter wonderland.  Our power went off a few times so we had to stay close to the fireplace and read (doesn't that sound awful? ha-ha).  But alas it is just a memory now as it has rained it all away during the night.  Thanks for stopping by.

The Stamps of Life New Release

It time for The Stamps of Life new releases for February (these are the "extra set releases).  I'm sharing cards I made with the upliftingwords2hear set.



Quick little note about this last card and the flowers on it.  I used Mod Podge Extreme Glitter on the flowers (by Prima).  I don't know about you but I have A LOT of the paper flowers by various companies.  So I'm always pondering how I can change to achieve a different look.  One of my favorite methods is using Mod Podge glitter formula.  I keep a brush and cup of water on my desk just to apply Mod Podge.
Try it sometime, I think you will be pleased with the results....and we can all use a little "sparkle" in our lives.  :)

cat2stamp February Stamps of Life Release
