Out of Africa Card

I found out about a blog hop which is "new" to me but looks like a lot of fun. It is the Cat Lover's Hop.  This is the third year it has been held (wish I had known about them too.....wink.)  Once I found out about it this afternoon, I couldn't wait to get in my craft room.  The first thing I had to do was find some cat images in my rubber stamps.  I went through all my stamp sets and managed to find quite a few (some have not even been inked....yipee!)  There is also a movie inspired challenge going on at AAA Cards and I have had an idea for an Out of Africa card for a few days. I went to work aiming to combine the two challenges but in my creative "haze." I forgot one very important thing.  I forgot to make my card Clean and Simple for the AAA Cards!  Uh oh!  Oh well, I had fun making this card with my all time favorite movie in mind.  In fact after our dinner tonight, I am going to be watching Out of Africa.  Making this card made me want to watch it yet again!  I hope to make several more cards for the Cat Lover's Hop.   One of my cats kept me company this afternoon and approved of this card.

Oh, I just loved that movie. I remember when I went to see it in the theater, I was sort of dressed in that style (well, at least I thought so, LOL) You've definitely captured the feel and I adore your BIG cat. Welcome to the Hop. Glad you found it. xxD dlmundinger(at)yahoo(dot)com USA

What a wonderful card with a movie inspiration. I also enjoyed Out of Africa and always remember the scenes where they fly over the herds of animals and those amazing vistas. That lion image is so majestic!
