Yeti Coffee Card

This time of year there are lots of FUN things going on and one of them is the Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  There are also extra chores to do and I am trying to get our trees decorated for Christmas.  ;)  It usually takes me a few days to get finished since I do three trees.   (One is a traditional tree in our den, one is a Santa tree in the breakfast room and one is a snowman tree in our glass room.)  It takes longer too when you are hiding out in your craft room making coffee cards.  It is all about priorities.  (Wink.)  This coffee drinking yeti will be joining in on the fun at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags/Bonus Day -- Cardinal Snow Tag

I made this tag last night for the bonus day at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I am happy I managed to do a tag for each day of this fun event (and now have 25 pretty cards made with them).  BUT I am sad it is over....I could get into making a tag EVERY day.  ;)  Oh well something to look forward to NEXT year.  ;)  For this tag, I was inspired by Bunny Vance's cardinal tag.  I heat embossed the snowflake image with detail white embossing powder.  The cardinal die cut was done with my Silhouette Cameo.  I used fun foam for the "snow" word die cut.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my twenty six tags during the month of November.  This cardinal is going to fly by:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Christmas Greetings Tag

Today is day twenty-five at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Can you believe it?  This month has flown by so I guess the saying is true....time flies when you are having fun.  ;)  I was inspired by Caly Person and her cute tag with animals plus the sentiment "Christmas Greetings."  I used a stencil and Distress Oxide ink to create the background of my tag.  My stamp images are by Hello Bluebird and I colored them with Copic markers.  These holiday animals will be joining up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Llama Tags

Even though I am starting to decorate the house for Christmas, I managed to make tags for day twenty-four at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by Mendi Yoshikawa's llama tags.  They were just fun and made me want to stamp llamas.  :)  I hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving long weekend (and snagged some Black Friday bargains).  I had to stop decorating this afternoon because it is football time.  Long time rivals Alabama and Auburn play and the whole family is gathered around the tv....which feels good after working all morning.  ;)

These llamas will be linking up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Star Bright Tag

Here is my tag for day twenty-three of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  For this tag I was inspired by the shape of one of Carol Mayne's tags.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the starburst and snowflake die cuts.  The sentiment is from a stamp set I purchased at Michael's last year (has Polar Bears, etc.)  Keeping this short as I am starting to decorate the house for Christmas.  This starburst tag will be shining at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Joy Stocking Tag

This is my tag for day twenty-two of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I'm playing catch up since I wasn't able to "escape" to my craft room yesterday.  I was too busy gobbling turkey....wink.  :)  I was inspired by Joyce Mehrberg and  Carol Mayne's tags.  Both had cute stockings on them.  :)  I have a first on this card.  I die cut my word out of black fun foam.  If you haven't tried it....run to Michael's and get some!  I love the way it looks!  Got to run....the Christmas decorating has started.....fa la la.  This stocking will be hanging around at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Silent Night Tag

Today was day twenty-one at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I made five of these tags this afternoon which I am putting on cards.  My inspiration was Audrey Tokach.  She did the cutest tag and I was inspired by its shape, the sheep, the trees and snow.  I kept mine simple since I was trying to do several for Christmas cards  My silent lamb is going to be linking up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Be Naughty Tag

Today is day 20 over at 25 Days of Christmas Tags and the sponsor is Casual Fridays.  (They are one of my favorites but I didn't have any Christmas stamps like my "inspiration" tag.  Boo!)  I was inspired by Lisa Bibziak's cute "Naughty or Nice" tag.  I liked how she made the tag's background look like Santa's suit and also the sentiment.  I did a much simpler version (and made eight of these tags....yay).  My sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios and their Santa's Mischief stamp set.  I simply die cut the tag (I think die is by Memory Box but I don't have the packaging any longer since I store dies on a magnetic wall). I used dark red cardstock from Michael's and heat embossed the sentiment with black detail embossing powder (Stampendous).  Santa's belt is a small strip of black cardstock with a small piece of gold foil cardstock adhered on top.  Fast and easy which is nice this time of year....especially if you are trying to get out the door to go see the new movie Bohemian Rhapsody about Queen.  ;)  My naughty tag is going to link up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- 'Tis The Season Tag

Another busy Monday at my house but I was able to do a tag for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I am determined not to miss a day!  :)  Today I was inspired by Patricia Folchert's tag.  I liked the vintage truck on her tag and it reminded me of a stamp set I owned which had not been inked up yet.  :)  This red truck is going to ride by these sites:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Fun Fun Snowman Tag

Today is day eighteen at 25 Days of Christmas Tags and the guest is Neat & Tangled.  I was inspired by the snowman tags by Lindsey, Joyce, Kim, Elena, and Kay.  I looked through my stash of stamps and was lucky to have a snowman tag by Neat & Tangled....yay!  The scalloped oval tag was cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  Fun, fun tag to make.  I'll be linking up my "Frosty" at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Penguin-ing To Look Like Christmas Tag

For day seventeen of 25 Days of Christmas Tags, I was inspired by Tracey McNeeley's tag.  I liked the background color of her tag plus the Christmas lights on the moose.  :)  I used a stamp set by Avery Elle called Brring On The Joy.  I used Distress Oxide ink pads to create the tag background plus a white chalk marker for the "snow."    I used Copic markers to color the stamped images.  This penguin will be skating by these fun challenge sites:

Meow To The World Card

I love a good color challenge and couldn't resist playing one more time for Inky Paws #85.  You are to use only red, green, black and white on your creation.  I have the new stamp set Caroling Newton by Newton's Nook and this challenge is perfect for it.  Everyone knows that white kitties are Christmas kitties (plus easier to color).  ;)  I used a green plaid paper and red and white baker's twine and like magic I had another Christmas card.  I am working away on a swap I joined to send cards to 133 other ladies....so I need fast (but cute) cards!  ;)

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Stay Warm Mitten Tag

I'm back for day sixteen of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I haven't missed a day yet....knock on wood (and no, I didn't hit my head.)  ;)  I was inspired by Ardyth Percy-Robb's mitten tags.  I loved the mitten shape of them!  I looked at the Silhouette Design Store and found a plain mitten pattern I liked.  I have to thank my daughters AGAIN for surprising me with a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas last year.  It has come in handy many times this year when needing a last minute die cut pattern.....like today!  :)  I cut it out of white cardstock and then stamped an image and sentiment with a little Copic coloring.  Pronto like magic I had a quick and easy tag.  I'm going to do more of these and put on cards too....maybe change up the sentiment....oh the possibilities.  :)  This mitten tag is going to be warming up at:

Fa La La Meow Card

Instead of doing a mountain of ironing at my house, I made this card for Newton's Nook Inky Paws Color Challenge #85.  Definitely more fun than ironing!  ;)  I used the new Caroling Newton stamp set which is so much fun.  Love it.  Since the color challenge is to use only white, black, red and green, I let my kitties be white.  I used a pretty red and black check paper and a word die along with a baker's twine bow and bam....I had a Christmas card!  :)  These singing merry makers are going to link up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Holiday Deer Tag

I'm back for day fifteen of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was supposed to get the ironing caught up today but what would be the fun in that.  ;)  I think it is time my bunch ironed their own clothes anyway.  ha-ha  I was inspired by two tags which had deer on them by Jerrie Mead and Joyce Mehrberg.  I had a new die which I was wanting to try out so this seemed like the perfect time.  I'm loving black and white this year with a touch of red for holiday cards and tags.  Thanks for stopping by (and feel free to do my ironing unless you are busy making tags too).  ;)  This feisty reindeer is going to link up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Snowy Forest Tag

Today is day fourteen at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by Kim Heggins tag which had a scene of trees and a "Merry Christmas" sentiment.  I chose a forest of trees image and heat embossed it white on a patterned paper background.  Winter weather has arrived in north Alabama with cold and rain so I enjoyed making this tag in my warm and dry craft room.  It is the small things I tell you.  ;)  My snowy trees tag will be linking up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Rudolph Tag

This is day 13 at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Today I was inspired by Latisha Yoast and her reindeer tag.  I loved her green watercolored background and the touch of patterned paper around the edges of her tag.  I used a snow stencil and some Distress Oxide ink to create my tag background.  I then inked it up with a Versamark ink pad and heat embossed some Frosted Crystal on top.  The stamp images are by Darcie's.  I managed to create my tag after a long day at the office by hiding in my craft room about an hour when I got home.  This is a fast post as my bunch is wanting something hot to eat.  It has finally turned COLD here and that demands something warm for dinner.  :)  My Rudolph tag is linking up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Snowman Tag

Today is day twelve at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by Gemma Campbell's tags.  I liked the shape of her tag and how she did her "snow" with a scalloped edge.  I also liked the white branches at the top of her tag.  I had a very busy day (typical Monday) but because my youngest daughter decided to cook our dinner I was able to create this tag.  (I owe her a BIG hug....wink.)  I die cut the tag (Sizzix) with white chipboard.  I inked the tag with Distress Oxide Broken China.  I made it look like it was snowing with a white chalk pen.  The bottom of the tag was done with a scalloped square tag (Sizzix Framelits).  The stamped images are by Hello Bluebird (Frosty Friends for the snowman and present and Christmas Is Coming for the sentiment).  The branch die cut at the top is by Sizzix.  I colored the images with Copic marker and then used Stickles (Diamond) to put "ice" on the the branches and under the snowman.  Fun tag to make and one more thanks to my sweet daughter for cooking so her mom could relax and craft a few minutes.  :)  This frosty fellow is linking up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Star "Peace" Tag

Can you believe it is already day eleven of 25 Days of Christmas Tags?  This month is flying by!  I have been making Christmas cards this weekend but took a few minutes to make this tag.  I am determined not miss a day at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  ;)  I was inspired by Carol Mayne's pretty peace star tag.  I knew it would make a fast and easy tag since I had all the elements to make it (star die and peace word die).  I used patterned paper for the word die to save time.  I could see making several of these to adorn cards and packages during the holiday season.  I'm linking this peaceful star at:

Today is day ten at 25 Days of Christmas Tags and the sponsor is Studio Katia.  I was inspired by Dana Gong's cute tags with penguins.  I used a set by Hello Bluebird called Frosty Friends.  I used Distress Oxide ink pads to color my tag and Copic markers to color the stamped images.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I'm enjoying mine with family, college football and creating in my craft "cave."  My penguin tag is going to link up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Merry Christmas Wreath Tag

The weather has finally turned cold plus it was cloudy and rainy today.  Yes, that is perfect tag making weather and I took advantage of it.  ;)  For day nine at 25 Days of Christmas Tags I was inspired by  Andrea Shell's tag.  I like how she used die cuts plus patterned plaid paper to make a simple but pretty tag.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the wreath and bow on my tag.  The star sequins are by Jillibean Soup and have been in my stash a while.  The sentiment die cut word is borrowed from a friend so no idea who made it.  The organdy ribbon is by American Crafts.    Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to check out my tag.  Check back often this month to see more as I have fun making tags at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I'm going to link this one at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Jolly Ho Ho Ho Tags

Thanks for stopping by to see my tags for day eight of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Today I was inspired by Linda Walmsley's cute tag.  I liked her Santa image with the ho ho ho sentiment and also the traditional Christmas colors.  I did the ho ho ho tag first and was having so much fun I made another one.   All the images on my tags are by Picket Fence Studios (Santa's Mischief set) except for the small "believe."  It is a Essentials by Ellen stamp.  I colored the images with Copics.  My tags were cut with the Silhouette Cameo.
Another busy day for me so it was nice getting to be creative and relax a few minutes in my craft room.  Got to dash off as it is nearly time to fix dinner.  My bunch likes a hot meal....go figure.  ;)  My jolly ho ho ho guys are going to link up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Fa La La Ornament Tag

Another rainy day which is perfect weather to get crafty!  Today is day seven at 25 Days of Christmas Tags and I was inspired by Eloise Blue and her ornate ornament tag in traditional Christmas colors.  I used my Silhouette Cameo 3 to create this tag.  After adhering the red and green cardstock shapes together I applied a small rub-on word and tied some tinsel trim at the top.  Easy peasy which will be nice around the holidays when things are hectic.  I'm thinking ahead too and next time I think I will mix up the colors.   Maybe a blue and green....or a lime green and bright pink....oh, the possibilities are endless.  Thanks for stopping by to visit.  I hope your day is going well and you find some time to be creative.  I'm linking this singing ornament up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Joy Tag

After a very busy day, I managed to grab a few minutes in my craft room to make a tag for day six at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I was inspired by Debbie Marcinkiewicz's striking "merry" tag with the holly leaves.  I loved how the white word stood out and the pretty holly leaves on the black cardstock.  I'm linking this tag up at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Red Gingham Tags

I managed to make two tags this morning before I had to run a bunch of errands and go to the grocery store.  Let's just say making these tags was WAY more fun than running errands and grocery shopping.  ;)   I have to tell you a funny story about these tags.  Newton's Nook is the sponsor for day 5 at 25 Days of Christmas Tags so I wanted to use stamps by them.  They have new Christmas stamps and I placed an order for a couple of stamp sets (and a CUTE stencil) last week.   I was wishing they were here when I started designing because I didn't have but one Christmas set by Newton's Nook.  Looking through my sets I saw Newton's Nook unicorns and thought "peppermint kisses and mistletoe wishes" sounded like something a unicorn would say (IF a unicorn could talk....wink).  So I went to work....and before I finished the unicorn tag, my hubby brought the mail home.  AND my Newton's Nook stamp order was IN....so I HAD to make another quick tag with the sheep and "fleece Navidad" sentiment.  I couldn't get over what a lucky mail day it was and how fast my order had been shipped....WIN, WIN!  ;)  For day five, I was inspired by Zsofia Molnar's tag.  I was drawn to the red gingham paper with snow mounds at the bottom of her tags.  I did a major happy dance when I found the red gingham paper in my stash (from a My Favorite Things paper pad of gingham).  Thanks for visiting today and stop often this month as I join in at the fun at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I'm linking these tags up at:
