Watercolor Ombre Background Card

It's time for a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  I'm excited to be guest designing for this new challenge of O is for Ombre!  I decided to do a watercolor ombre background for my creation.

After heat gun drying the watercolored ombre background, I used a die cut to cut a panel for the front of the card.  The stamp image and sentiment (Beached Dee by AALL & Create) were stamped with a black ink pad.  I used alcohol markers to color the image.  Three sequins were adhered for the final touch and my ombre card was complete!  I have to smile at the stamped sentiment because if it involves a bikini, I would have to say no....I'm a one piece bathing suit gal. What about you? (Wink.)  Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check out what the other Sisterhood of Snarky designers came up with for O is for Ombre.

I'm also joining the Inspiration Station #50 challenge.  I was inspired by the colors in the photo prompt
.

Time Out has a call for funny with their current challenge.  I think Miss Dee in a bikini is definitely funny!

Caffeinated Christmas Yeti Card

The Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge has a masculine theme for June plus the current Jingle Belles challenge is also masculine.  I thought it would be fun to use an older Stampin'Up stamp set along with  snow swirl die cuts.  I heat embossed the sentiment with white powder on black cardstock.  My "yeti" is definitely a male dancing in the snow and drinking coffee (or maybe hot chocolate).  Thanks for dropping by and remember to stay crafty (even if it is summer...wink).

Comfort and Joy Card

Creating for two of my favorite challenge blogs.  Both were calling for "masculine" cards so I used an image from Mama Elephant of a penguin "floating" in coffee (or maybe it is hot chocolate).  In my crafty mindset, this penguin is male (hence masculine for these challenges....wink!)

Thanks for stopping by.  We had a rather hefty storm go through last night with lots or wind, rain and lightning.  It gave me a day off from watering outside flowers.  Instead it filled my morning with picking up lots and lots of sticks in our yard and weeding (since the ground was wet and they pulled up easier).  This pretty much took care of me for the rest of the day....I decided I'm definitely not the Engergizer bunny!

Steampunk Flying Card

It has been a long time since I got "the steampunk vibe" so had to do one more card for the S Is For Stampunk challenge with The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  The stamp is by Deep Red (Flying Machine)
and stamped with brown ink on kraft cardstock.  I used a large wheels and cogs die from my stash (sorry not sure who made it) cut from brown cardstock.  The sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous.  Thanks for dropping by and getting all punked with me today.

Steampunk Heart Card

It's always a good day when you can spend time in your craft room joining a fun challenge for
The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  This time around the theme is "steampunk."  I found this steampunk image by Deep Red in my stash of stamps (Steampunk Lady Cyclist).  I kept it simple using layering, dry embossing and a twine bow with a simple black, white and red color scheme.  This steampunk lady will be cycling at:
