Technique Junkies November Release Beautiful Ballet Dancer Card

It is time for Technique Junkies November release.  I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact it is November already!  As always, Technique Junkies has lots of pretty new stamps with the November release (I look forward to seeing the new stamps each month!)  This card is part of it and the image is called French Script Ballerina.  The sentiment is called Dreaming With Your Feet.  I tried a new background technique on this card courtesy of Jennifer McGuire's blog (Watercolor Swiping).  You wrap baby wipes around a flat surface (I used my cutting plates from my Sizzix Sidekick) and secure with a rubber band.  Then along the bottom edge, you apply color with re-inkers.  Then you swipe it on watercolor paper where it creates a background.  This particular background was created after several swipes.  The more you swipe, the lighter your color gets.

Below you can see all of the new November release.  You can get all of them at a discounted price of $99.99 until November 7th if you "got to have them all."

Don't forget also I have a special discount code for you to get 10% off your shopping at Technique Junkies.  See the code below.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty and stay safe.  For even more inspiration with the new November release, visit all the Technique Junkies design team blogs listed below:

Three HOs Card

There is a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and it is a fun one.  It is X is for Faux.  I am thrilled to be guest designing there too!  For my card, I did a faux technique called "Faux Embossing."  This was my first time to try this technique but it won't be my last!  I LOVE it.  Here'e how I did it.  I took a piece of red cardstock and covered it with clear packing tape.  Next go it with an old credit card to make sure the tape is adhered smoothly.  Then cut the word die out and adhere to the white shadow part of the die.  In person this is so cool because it looks just like it has been heat embossed.  Thanks for stopping by and please keep Santa's secret from Mrs. Claus.  ;)

Caroling Cats Christmas Card

I'm back with my fifth card for the last day of the Cat Lovers Hop.  These caroling cats are ready for Christmas for sure!  The die cut was done with my Silhouette Cameo 3 (#273711 Musical Notes Circle Frame).  The stamp set is by Clearly Besotted (Sing, It's Christmas) and it is fun to color.  I have enjoyed seeing all the cat cards during the Cat Lovers Hop.  Thanks for stopping by and jingle bells all the way!

Three Cats and Coffee Christmas Card

I'm back with another fun cat themed card for the Cat Lover's Blog Hop.  I also did this card for a brand new challenge called Let's Squash It (an embossing folder challenge).  I used stamps by Stampendous, embossing folder by Sizzix, and metallic red cardstock to create the die cut sentiment (done with my Silhouette Cameo).  So not only am I having fun making cat cards, I now have one less Christmas card to make.  Yay!  Thanks for stopping by and remember to have a "Meowy" good day.

Pretty Scary Black Cat Card

Staying at home is fun (and safe) when you are creating cards for Halloween plus the Cat Lovers Hop.  I used patterned papers and stickers on this one with one stamped sentiment.  It came together quickly and I was happy with the results.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to watch out for those pretty but scary black cats (who are little loves at my house).  :)

Fireplace and Cat Stockings Card

Have you started your Christmas cards?  I have joined the annual Two Peas Refugees Christmas Card swap and need lots of cards to mail.  I did it a couple of years ago but missed last year.  It made going to the mailbox so much FUN and I am looking forward to this year's.  With the Cat Lovers Hop going on, it is the perfect time to get started!  Because what could be better than Christmas cards with cats on them!  :)  I cut the fireplace die cut with my Silhouette Cameo and then paper crimped it.  I enjoyed coloring all the cat images (reminds me of why I loved coloring as a little girl...wink).  Thanks for stopping by and if you haven't checked out the Cat Lovers Hop, you are missing out!

It's Behind Me Halloween Card

Woo Hoo!  Today is the first day of the Cat Lover's Hop!  I've been looking forward to it since......well since the last one ended last year!  (Wink!)  I have to tell you what has happened since the last one at my house.  This summer we ended up adding not one BUT FOUR kittens to our "fur family."  First, we found a small Siamese kitten in our yard in June.  We "think" he fell off of a vehicle.  Then two weeks later, a stray mama cat got in our garage and had five kittens.  When it came time, we found good indoor homes for two of the kittens.  The other three came in our house.  If someone had told me years ago I would have this many cats in the house, I would have told them they were bonkers.  ;)  But sometimes I think things happen for a reason and with this staying at home (because of the covid-19 virus), these kittens came along at the perfect time.  They have brought much joy, laughter and fun to the house for all of us.  Be sure to join in on all the fun at the Cat Lovers Hop plus check out all the cat themed cards.  Thanks for stopping by....and always look behind you!  ;)

H Is For Pink Halloween Challenge Card

I am excited to be guest designing for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers and their H Is For Pink Halloween Challenge.  I had to use my favorite new Halloween stamp by Picket Fence Studios (So Franken Cute).  I have a confession to make....I have a "thing" for Frankenstein stamp images and when I saw this one....well, it had to come to my house to live.  (Wink.)  I used a bat stencil by Echo Park Paper Company to do the background paper.

Go check out the other amazing Pink H is for Halloween cards by the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers design team plus join in and let's see your creations!!!!!  Thanks for stopping by and remember you are never really alone.....Frankenstein will be glad to keep you company.  (Wink.)

Pink Let It Snow Card

There is a Pink Christmas...For The Cure Challenge going on at Jingle Belles.  I love using pink on Christmas cards so had to play.  :)  The cute snowman stamp is by Technique Junkies (Snowman Whimsy can be found here).  (If you like this snowman and want to get him at 10% off the regular price, then use the code below.  I am guest designing for Technique Junkies in October and November.  The code is good on any of the Technique Junkies wonderful stamps.  The large sentiment on top of the card is from a paper stack from Michael's.  The snowflake embossing folder is by Sizzix.  Thanks for stopping.

I'm linking up this cool snowman at:

Best Witches Card

I have the pleasure of guest designing for Technique Junkies for the months of October and November.  What fun as they are one of my favorite stamp companies!  Today I'm sharing quick Halloween cards I did with their Best Witches set.  I used three different patterned papers to change them up a bit.  I send a lot of Halloween cards so sometimes it is nice to be able to do them quickly.  If you love this set as much as I do, then go shopping and get 10% off by using the code below.  You can use the code on any of the great Technique Junkies stamps.  Thanks for stopping by and best witches to you (because I wouldn't send my worst witches to you)!  (Wink.)

Funny Dracula Card

Have I ever told you my very favorite cards to make?  They are Halloween!  I have fun playing with my Halloween goodies (stamps, stickers, dies, etc.) to make cards.  Of course I enjoy making all kinds of cards but there is something about working with black and orange (or lime green and purple) and ghosts, witches, bats and my favorite Frankenstein images.   So when I discovered a brand new challenge blog where you get to make Halloween cards ALL year...well you know I'm IN.  It is Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.  They are having a jumpstart challenge to get things going and it is Anything Goes.  Go check them out!  :)
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the coffin shaped card.  The fun vampire image is by CC Designs (Vampy Wishes).  The sentiment was done using the Cricut Air 2 text feature (which I love) and a black felt pen.   The sentiment is from the movie "Love At First Bite."  Anyone remember that one?  :) The black part of the coffin was embossed with a spider web embossing folder by Sizzix (not sure it shows up well in my photo though).  The little spider is a sticker by DCWV.

Thanks for stopping by and be safe out there if you out for a bite to drink.  :)

Where Tacos Live Humorous Card

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers has a "C is for Chalkboard" challenge going on.  You know how I love a good challenge plus the opportunity to make a funny card.  I took a piece of black cardstock and used a white chalk marker to write the sentiment.  I adhered it to a kraft card stock A7 sized base.  Then it was only a matter of stamping six tacos, coloring them and fussy cutting.  I used the stamped tacos to create a border at the top and the bottom of my chalkboard sentiment.  Easy peasy and I know just the person to mail this card to.  Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you know where tacos live.  (Wink.)

Jack O'Lantern Halloween Card

What is Halloween without at least one card with a "jack 'o lantern" on it?  I have been having fun making Halloween cards the last few weeks.  Halloween cards are my all time favorite to make.    There is  something about using bold colors and playing with ghosts, witches and pumpkin images that gets me in my craft room losing track of time. (Which is a good thing these days since "staying at home" is pretty much required if you want to stay safe from covid-19.)  ;)  I'm linking this grinning pumpkin up at:

Technique Junkies New October Release

I am super excited to be guest designing for Technique Junkies for the month of October.  Since this is the first day of October all of their new October releases are up.  I got to design cards with the adorable new Christmas set called Gnome For Christmas.  I tell you coloring these fun little fellows is too much fun!  Want to to hear something else fun?  I have a discount code where you can get 10% off your Technique Junkies order.  This plus an extra discount of 15% off the new October release stamps adds up to a big 25% off of the new release (like the Gnome For Christmas set shown on my card).  Woo Hoo...you know you want to go shopping.  (Wink.)  You can see all the new stamps here.  Also be sure to check out all the design team's creative works too:

Beverly Sizemore (Guest Designer/You are Here)

On this card I had such a good time coloring the image.  I used washi tape for the borders on the card and some simple tree die cuts.  Easy peasy (a good thing making a Christmas card at the last minute which I seem to always do).
Don't forget you can get an additional 10% (use the code above) for the new release which is already discounted 15% (until October 8th).  This means a 25% total discount on the new release.  You can use the above code for any of the stamps at Technique Junkies and they have some wonderful images!  So get those shopping pants on and have some fun!  Thanks for stopping by to check out my gnome cards!

Sliding Down Ladders Humorous Card

Do you love to make funny cards?  I do!  My favorite kind is taking vintage images and coming up with "off the wall" sentiments. :)  So when I saw the "Slide" challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, I knew I would be looking at my folder of vintage images.  I have several image CDs (from Lunagirl) and it  is always fun looking and printing for future cards.  This particular little girl was holding a blank sign so I thought she needed to be saying something wise.  (Wink.)  Thanks for dropping by and remember not to be sliding down any ladders.

Water Slide Humorous Card

The new challenge at The Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers is called "Slide."  There is nothing like a fun challenge to get your brain cells hopping.  Of course the first thing I thought of was a slider card but then I saw this sentiment and couldn't pass up making a funny card.  You know how I love to take a vintage image and do a humorous sentiment to go with it.  I remembered a vintage couple in bed being in my folder of "collected old images."  I used my We R Memory Keepers typewriter to do the sentiment.  A little "adult" humor for the Snarky Sisterhood challenge.  Thanks for stopping by and hope I made you chuckle.

Friends Wine Therapists Card

I am the guest designer at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers new "F Is For Friends" challenge.  What fun!  I used a Sizzix card die for making the purple cardstock base.  The stamp image and smaller sized sentiments are from Art Impressions.  I used my Cricut Air 2 to write the larger sentiment on the very front of the card.  Added a "friends" word die cut and BAM...easy card to send to one of my "winey" friends.  I hope you have a fun but safe Labor Day weekend planned.  Thanks for dropping by and remember to talk to your favorite friend therapist soon.  :)

Toadilly Cool Birthday Card

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog is celebrating their 500th post with lots of fun and prizes.  Birthday cards are one of my favorite themes to make so I had to play along.  I used a DCWV birthday paper stack for the cake patterned paper and "make a wish" sentiment.   The cute frog image is by Unity Stamp Company.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to enjoy your day.

Stuck In Traffic Card

One more for the "V Is For Vulgar" challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.  I used my Cricut Air 2 to write the sentiment.  The stamped car image is by The Stamps of Life.  I tell you I'm having too much fun with this challenge.  (Wink.)  Thanks for stopping by and hope you don't get stuck in traffic.  :)

Bad Bitch Card

I had to give the V Is For Vulgar challenge at Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers another try.  I used my Cricut Air 2 and it's text feature to write the sentiment on this card.  I had to put my thinking cap on for a image to go with the sentiment.  Going through my stamps, I saw one by The Ink Road which I thought would work.  It is a woman's head from "behind" and since the sentiment starts with "behind"....well you see where my mind led.  (Wink.)  The patterned paper is by BoBunny.  Thanks for stopping by and remember you are a sweet girl.  :)

Cactus Prick Card

Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers has a "V Is For Vulgar" challenge going on and I had to give it a try.
My daughter and I went shopping yesterday to Michael's and Hobby Lobby for the first time since February!  We went early, wore masks and did social distancing (We also took wipes to clean shopping carts and had hand sanitizer in the car).  I was relieved to see shoppers wearing masks and not crowding....so it goes to show crafters are smart people!  (Big wink.)  One of my purchases was a pretty new paper pad which has lots of cactus patterns.  I used it as my inspiration for my "vulgar" card.  :)  I used my Cricut Air 2 to write the text "Dont Be A Prick."  The cactus die is by Sizzix.  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay safe.

Butterfly Sympathy Card

I hope you are well and finding time to do things you enjoy.  :)  I have been taking a little time away from making cards for the last week.  The weather has been very nice and I've been hanging outside and reading a lot.  I saw challenges this morning though which made me want to craft.  I'm linking this one up at:

Thanks for dropping by and remember to stay crafty (loving the air conditioning during this summer weather).  :)

Special Day Daisies Card

Hello my crafty friends!  I have been missing in action from my blog since April 10th.  I wish I could say I had an excellent excuse but all I can say is I have had "pandemic brain."    What is "pandemic brain" you ask?  Well, it is not wanting to blog.  (Big wink.)  Luckily it does not affect your desire to create cards because I have been in my craft room even more than usual.  It just affects your desire to sit down and write blog posts.  ;)  I have also discovered I love Instagram.  I can have a post up on Instagram in no time whereas it takes me a lot longer to blog it....so maybe I have a case of the "lazies" instead.  In any case, I am going to "try" and do better (we'll see though).  IF you like my cards and want to see regular posts then please check me out on Instagram (@bevscreativepath).

This card features stamps by Newton's Nook (Dainty Daisies).  I love the stamps at Newton's Nook.  If you haven't seen them, go NOW and check them out!  :)  I'm linking this card up at the following groovy challenges:

Laughing Card

I just realized I did a card for Sketch Saturday a few days ago and forgot to post or link it.  How forgetful!  My only excuse is trying to solve world problems.  (Wink.)  Don't I wish I could...I would get a vaccine out there to stop all this virus mess and we could go about our lives unafraid again.  But I'm just a simple cardmaker so you'll have to settle for a funny card instead.  The sentiment stamp is by Riley & Company, patterned papers by DCWV and diecuts are found at the Silhouette Design Store.  I do think this card is funny considering our social distancing....Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.....and laugh (it will keep people a SAFE distance from you hopefully).  ;)

Coffee and World Card

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you are well and doing your part social distancing.  Aren’t we lucky to love rubber stamps, papers and crafty supplies?  We can stay at home and be perfectly happy.  (Big wink).  I’m sharing a card with a “Women Empowerment” theme.  I thought this new image by Hampton art would be pretty with a coffee cup shaped card.  The card shape is from the Silhouette Design Store (here).  The Hampton Art stamp set can be seen here.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.....and stay home to stop the spread of the Corona virus.  If we all do our part it won’t be long before we can hit those craft stores again.  ;)

Kindness Is Always In Fashion Card

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you are having a nice day in this "new normal" setting we find ourselves.  I have a fun card to share which I did a stenciled background using Distress Oxide ink pads.    The stamps are by Hampton Art (SC0968).  I love the sentiment with this set that says "Kindness Is Always In Fashion."  I'm linking this card up at:

Thanks for stopping by and as always remember to stay crafty.....and do something kind for someone.  We could all use a little extra right now.

Pawsome Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you are well and staying in your craft room creating happily away (and have plenty of toilet paper....wink).  Sharing a card I did with new Hampton Art stamps (SC0974 Frenchie)  I colored the images with Prima Marketing Metallic Watercolors.  They have the prettiest sheen to them (not sure it shows up in my poor photography but trust me).  :)

Thanks for dropping by and remember to stay crafty.....and to wash your hands and keep them away from your face.  Be safe people!  :)  These puppies want to join in on the fun at:
