Steampunk Heart Card

It's always a good day when you can spend time in your craft room joining a fun challenge for

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  This time around the theme is "steampunk."  I found this steampunk image by Deep Red in my stash of stamps (Steampunk Lady Cyclist).  I kept it simple using layering, dry embossing and a twine bow with a simple black, white and red color scheme.  This steampunk lady will be cycling at:

No Stamping Santa Card

Nothing like waiting until the last minute to get a card done for a challenge.  (Wink.)  Jingle Belles has a "no stamping" challenge which ends in a few hours.  Christmas Craft Creations also has a no stamping challenge going on now.  I bought this cute Sizzix Santa die set last summer at Hobby Lobby at a huge discount (yay).  I had not used it until this challenge because although I thought it was a cute die set...it looked like such work to cut out everything.  I decided to leave it all attached to the card it was attached to on the package and cut it all out of white cardstock.  This worked but it ended up cracking one of my clear acrylic plates (boo) for my Big Shot (lesson learned not to try this again).  Anyway I colored all the pieces with alcohol markers and assembled the card.  Easy peasy!  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty!  I'm off to read outside and enjoy the day....which means possibly even crafting and a nap later also!

Butterfly "Hello" Card

I noticed on my desk calendar in my craft room the page showing said May 7th.  That's a long time for me to go without "creative therapy."  ha-ha  Maybe that is why I had such fun making this butterfly "hello" card!!!

The pretty butterfly stamped image is one by Penny Black as are the stitched rectangle dies.  The patterned paper is by Sunny Studios.  I used three diamond self adhesive gems on the body of the butterfly by KI Memories.  This butterfly is going to be fluttering by these challenges:

Ho Ho Holidays Card

It is rainy here today which gave me a day off from watering flowers outside.  Rainy days mean I can happily spend time in my craft room.  The new Jingle Belles challenge went up today and it is a fun tic-tac- toe one.  I chose the bottom row of die cut or punch, stamping and Santa.

Wet My Plants Card

Happy time in my craft room making a card for fun challenges today!!!  I used a new Penny Black stamp and colored the images with alcohol markers.  I typed the sentiment using my We R Memory Keepers typewriter.  I wish I looked this fashionable when watering my plants outside.  This one is joining the following challenges:

Coffee Jingle Card

This is the time of year I don't find much time in my craft room as I am outside planting seeds and flowers for the coming summer.  By the time I get my household chores done and then stay outside digging in the dirt, etc., I'm too tired to make cards.  (Shocking and sad I know....wink.)  So I was happy to to have a crafty morning when I came in from outside and not totally exhausted from "plant activities."  I wanted to participate in a couple of fun challenges.  I always love to join the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge since one of my favorite cards to make is coffee themed ones.  Christmas Craft Creations is also celebrating their third birthday and I sure didn't want to miss out on all their fun.   I'm going to link this card up at:
