Flaming "Love" Card

I've been moving things around in my craft room because I got a new drawer unit yesterday. I am going to use it to organize my ribbons.  Currently I have it in photo boxes separated by colors (all red in one box, all blue in another, etc.).  But I have outgrown those boxes and think this plastic drawer unit from Michael's will be better.  The drawers are different colors and deep enough ribbon spools will stand up so can "file" them.   Can't wait to get my ribbon in it.  I'll try to remember to take some photos after I get it organized.  After shufflling things around in my craft (yet again...wink), I made this flamingo card.  These lovey dovey birds are joining the following challenges:

Sunshine and Pink Card

Sharing a quick card I did for some challenge blogs.  I stamped the pink card base with a stripe image in a darker shade of pink ink.  Then I cut strips of aqua cardstock and secured them over the stamped stripes for the background.  The patterned paper sentiment is from a 12x12 sheet of sayings and images by ADORNit.  I also used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches (flipped it) for my inspiration.  These pineapples will be linking up at:

Simon Says Monday Challenge Blog (Food and/or Drink -- My food is pineapples.)

Partying Llama Card

I spent some time in my craft room today reorganizing my markers, washi tape and dies.  I "think" I have finally got them the way I want!  I have moved them four times in the last three weeks!    I had them the way I liked until my new Scan N Cut2 came in.  I had to make room for it close to my work desk which meant moving markers and dies.  I'm happy with today's moves though so hopefully I will be able to spend more time making cards and no more time shuffling things around!!!!  I did manage to make one card today to "test" how my reorganizing "worked."  This happy llama wants to party at the these challenges:

Good Thoughts Card

I did two "firsts" on this card.  First, I had never used foil transfer sheets.  Second, I had never used linen thread on a card.  You certainly get to try new things if you join the card blog challenges.  I had some foil transfer which I had bought at Hobby Lobby a long time ago on clearance.  I had to borrow some linen thread from a friend who luckily had some.  The flower and bee stamps are new and had never seen ink.  They are by Hampton Art and have matching dies  They will be blooming at the following challenges:

Mod Squad Challenge (Foil It Up)

Tic Tac Toe Challenge (I did row of yellow, linen thread and feminine.)

Time Out Challenges (Inspired by words -- the quote on the card.)

Southern Girls (Flower Power)

Just Us Girls (Wild Card Week -- Use something old and /or new.  The foil transfer is old and the stamps/dies are new.)
