Do you ever purchase a crafty supply and not immediately use it? :) Please tell me I am not alone. After purchasing a package of Ken Oliver's Color Burst powders ages ago (maybe two or three years even), I finally got around to using them. What fun! I got several of my stencils out and experimented using Color Burst with them. After taping a stencil to heavy watercolor paper, I sprinkled Color Burst lightly over the stencil. Next I lightly spritzed it with water and then carefully removed the stencil. I love the results! The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge for this week is "No Stamps." I put this card together with that challenge in mind. The leaves are stenciled (stencil by Ranger/Dylusions) with Color Burst (Carribean Brights) and the die cut sentiment is cut from green fun foam. I found the perfect patterned paper in one of my older DCWV paper stacks as the card base. I adhered a few green sequins and tied green hemp twine bows for the finishing touch. Thanks Simon Says for making me finally use my Ken Oliver Color Burst. :) I'm linking this card at:

Your stencilling has worked really well and I know because I've had a couple of disasters when trying to use Brushos with stencils :-( Brilliant result and a lovely card.
I'm so pleased you joined us at Try it on Tuesday.

You are definitely not alone when it comes to buying products, then forgetting them, or forgetting why you bought them. However, I have never heard of color bursts before. Having said that, I love the way you treated them, because you got some fantastic mottled colors from that stencil you used. It's a super card and a great entry for this current theme at Try it on Tuesday.
Fantastic results using the powders, its a wonderful card design as well. Thank you for joining us at Try it on Tuesdays.
