25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Happy Elves Christmas Tags

It is a cool and rainy afternoon which makes for perfect Christmas tag making in the "craft cave."  On day four at 25 Days of Christmas Tags I was inspired by Amy Kolling's tag.  I liked the way Amy used bright traditional Christmas colors with her Reverse Confetti stamps and dies.  My stamp images and dies are Reverse Confetti.  I colored them with Copic markers and also used a white chalk pen.  These happy elves are going to link up at:

Season's Greetings Poinsettia Card

I found a bright shiny gold package of cardstock at Michael's last week which made me happy.  I was out of gold metallic and this pretty gold (no silver) was on sale for $3.33 (25 sheets package).  It is not a heavy cardstock but I only wanted it for accents.  Plus the lighter weight will help my cards from needing additional postage.  (In case you haven't heard, the post office is increasing postage in January to fifty-five cents for a first class postage stamp.)    The stamp set is one by Recollections I got last year but had not used.  The music embossing folder is by Sizzix.  Another new discovery I made recently are metallic Sharpie pens.  I used a gold to add color and accents to the Copic colored poinsettia images.  The metallic Sharpie package I ordered had two gold, two silver and two copper.  Excited about them for coloring and also addressing pretty envelopes.  These Christmas music loving poinsettias are going to join the fun at:

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Merry Christmas Ornament Tag

Before I quit today, I did one more tag for day 3 at 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  It was fun having a stay in my pj's morning and getting caught up on making tags for this yearly event.  Hopefully now I'll be able to make a tag each day and not get behind again (wishful thinking anyway).  ;)  This tag was inspired by Lindsey Larsen and Karen Baker's tags.  Each of their tags were ornament shaped.  I used my Silhouette to create my tag with red and green cardstocks.  The last step I did was carefully add clear glaze to the letters on the ornament.  This is one of those creations which is prettier in person than in my feeble photography.  ;)

I was did three tags which were inspired by Emily Midgett's tag at 25 Days of Christmas Tags for day 3.  I loved her use of the black and white patterned paper and word die cut.

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Merry and Bright Ornaments Tag

Staying in my pj's and having fun creating tags for 25 Days of Christmas Tags today.  I didn't get to create on the first two days so I played catch-up this morning.  My "Merry and Bright" tag is for Day 2.  I was inspired by Zina Redo's "Happy Holiday" tag and her use of ornament stamps plus the unusual colors.  I stamped the ornament images on colored paper with black ink and then did a little coloring with Copic markers on each.  Thanks for dropping by and join me in November as I make more tags for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

25 Days of Christmas Tags -- Snowy Merry Christmas Tag

25 Days of Christmas Tags started November 1st.  I participated in it last year for the first time and enjoyed it SO much.  I had "life happenings" though the first two days but have been able to catch up today.  So without further ado, here is my tag for day one.  My inspiration was Carol Mayne's tag.  I liked her stamped snowflake background with pretty word die cut.  The background of my tag is not stamped but patterned paper.  I have several new paper  pads from Michael's with new Christmas collections. Two Cats Meowy Christmas Card

I'm having a fun Saturday staying in my pajamas and crafting cards for the Cat Lovers Hop.  I made this card a Christmas card so I could send it in to the Caring Hearts Card Drive too.  (Read about it here.)  I stenciled the background with Distress Oxide ink pads.  The Christmas Cats stamps are by Simon Says Stamp.  I edged my snow mounds with Diamonds Stickles glitter glue.  I hope your Saturday has been a fun one like mine.  The in the holiday mood cats want to join:
