Liquid Watercolors and Acrylic Paint Card

It is day four of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I am trying out liquid watercolors for the first time.  I was recently at Hobby Lobby and saw some in the clearance section.  I was thrilled because I had been wanting to try them!  There were only a few colors and I got what they had.  When I started using them this morning, I needed a green and did not have it.  BUT I had a blue and yellow so was able to mix up a beautiful shade of green.  I felt so "artsy."  (Wink.)
I stamped my image with VersaFine Onyx Black on watercolor paper before using a circle die.  Then I was ready for the FUN part of trying the liquid watercolor by Brea Reese. After coloring only portion, I adhered it to the top part of a white card base.  Then I took a flat brush and swiped yellow and then green acrylic paints under the watercolor circle.  There is a fun challenge at CAS Mix Up to use acrylic paint, stamping and your choice (my choice was liquid watercolor).  They are also celebrating their birthday with nice prizes up for grabs.  :)  Thanks for stopping by and remember to stay crafty.....if you see liquid watercolors in the clearance aisle....grab them....and send to me.  ;)

  4. Wow, Bev, what a wonderful, striking colour combination! I love the way you've coloured that gorgeous floral image with the black, bright yellow and lime. Having the yellow and lime under the black die-cut sentiment really finishes it up nicely. A great CAS creation. Thanks so much for sharing with our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
