Today is a good day because it is the first challenge for the Twofer Card Challenge. You are to create two cards from the same stamp set and/or dies. The cards are to be different and for different occasions. You have to photograph your two cards in one photo. Sound like something you would be interested in? You can check it out here.
This is the first card I did and it has a friendship theme. The stamp set I used was by Jillibean Soup and the feather die by Cuttlebug. I'm also going to link this card up at Stamping Sensations for a Cold and Frosty Colors Challenge (blues, purples, silver and white).
My second card has a sympathy theme. I used the same stamp set and feather die plus the same colors (I thought it would look better in the twofer photograph since they have to "share..") ;) This card is going to also join the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown of Layer It Up.
CARD RECIPE:
Stamps -- Jillibean Soup (jb1318)
Ink Pad -- Clearsnap (Wicked Black)
Cardstocks -- Recollections
Feather Die Cut -- Cuttlebug
Stitched Die Cuts -- Gina Marie Designs (Stitched Squares and Stitched Rectangles)
Label Maker & Tape -- Dymo
Baker's Twine -- The Twinery
Misc. -- Brads (Basic Grey), Sequins (The Paper Studio) and Foam Tape (Scotch/3M)
Perfect colours for our frosty challenge, and a lovely design! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous card with us at Stamping Sensations.

Two fantastic cards, Beverly! Your color choice is gorgeous and each design so fitting for the occasion for which it's intended. I love the silver sparkle on your friendship card, and the black and white stripes in your sympathy card's sequins and twine. Such great details on both cards! I think it's so cute that you wanted them to match for the photo - something I would make my children do if I were to have their photos taken! Thanks so much for joining in on the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards Beverly. Love your two designs using feathers. Your friendship card is so pretty with the different coloured feathers, especially the one that sparkles. And your sympathy card is so beautiful with the textured background. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect shades for our 'cold and frosty colours' theme at Stamping Sensations, many thanks for joining in.

Two fabulous cards here! Just love the icy cool colors you used. A great take on these challenges!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely soft colour palette on both your fabulous cards, Beverly ... and great detailing! Love how you've used the shimmery feather on the lighthearted friendship one ... and the dark feather against the textured flourishy background on the sympathy card ... lovely imagery! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
