Friendship Violets Card
Fun challenge at 365 Cards (Day 334) to use the three B's which are blue, blossom and emBOSS. I managed to find a few minutes in my craft studio to create a card today. The pretty image is from a new booklet I have by Crafty Secrets called Birds and Botanicals. The embossing folder and diecut are by Sizzix. The rub-on is by Royal & Langnickel while the flowers are by Prima Marketing. The small square blue rhinestones are by Basic Grey. This card also fits the challenge at Cute Card Thursday of "Blooming Gorgeous."
Another week has nearly flown by. I have been sitting up late this week reading a good book which is by an Alabama native. The setting of the book is only about 60 miles from where I live plus it is set in the Depression. It is one of those books you hate to see end but can't wait to finish just so you know how it ends. Did that make sense? Anyway the name of the book is "The Mine and the Well" and is by Gin Phillips. If you like to read and like "good" books, grab a copy of this one. :) Thanks for stopping by and visit again soon. :)

Hello Little Princess Card
Fun challenge at 365 Cards (Day 331) called "Three P's." The three "P's" were pink, paisley and princess. I couldn't come up with a "princess" or "castle" stamp so I opted to use a vintage little girl and call her "little princess." :) I based the card on the sketch at MoJo Monday Sketch 123 too. The image is by Crafty Secrets, the embossing paisley folder by Sizzix and rubber stamp by Hampton Art. The flowers are by Prima Marketing. I "think" this was my "first" round card....won't be my last though...fun, fun, fun to make.
After a very wet weekend, the sun made a beautiful appearance in Alabama today. I had some serious de-germing housework as my youngest was sick a few days. She went back to school today so I wanted to clean, clean, clean plus spray anything that moved with Lysol. :) I got it all done this morning and was able to "play" a while this afternoon. I did this card plus three more that I get to show you the first of February. (That is the release date for The [Stamps] Of Life and they are CUTE!) This month has flown by! :)

Geisha "Thank You" Card
I got a package delivered by FedEx yesterday that had the new Cuttlebug Asian bundle of embossing folders. There are eight different Oriental themed embossing folders. I couldn't wait to "play" with them!!!! :) Here is one of my creations and it is based on the sketch over at Card Patterns this week. The Stamp Simply challenge was to do a vintage theme and I "think" my image on this one will qualify (maybe). :) The image which is from the Lunagirl Antique Japanese Prints and Photos CD is an old one anyway. The challenge at i{heart}2stamp is for thank you cards so it fits it too. The rubber stamps are by Hampton Art, flower by Prima Marketing, and brads are by Little Yellow Bicycle.
My youngest daughter is sick with bronchitis so we've been staying in today. Lots of movies, card crafting, and games....plus a night off from cooking. We ordered take-out which is always a "winner" with me. :) Thanks for stopping by and here's hoping your weekend is a fun one.

Zebra Birthday Card
This card fits several challenge sites:
Quitxotic Paperie Challenge (based on their sketch)
Paper Play (to have a furry friend...zebras are furry) :)
Cute Card Thursday (use pink and grey)
Charisma Cardz (to use something new....my zebra stamp is new)
The cardstock is by Bazzill and the patterned papers are by Anna Griffin. The rubber stamps are by Hampton Art. The flower is by KaiserCraft and the brads are by The Paper Studio. I loved the way this card turned out. :)
Tea Card
The challenge at 365 Cards today was to do "tea" themed card. I found the perfect picture and poem in a Crafty Secrets image booklet. The alphabet stamps are by Hampton Art. The distressed music paper and flower are by Prima Marketing. The flower ribbon is by Imaginisce. I also used the sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You too.
Another busy day plus went to the grocery store since our pantry was starting to look like Mother Hubbard's. :) My oldest daughter has volunteered to fix dinner tonight....what a treat! She's a pretty decent cook. :) Hope your Thursday was a good one and you got out of fixing dinner too. Wink, wink! :)

"Real Dolls" Birthday Card
I got to "play" a little while this afternoon and came up with this card for two challenge sites. 365 Cards for day 319 was to do a creation with a teen scene theme. The Cupcake Craft Challenge is for a "Going Girly" card. The image is by Crafty Secrets, the sentiment stamp by Hampton Art and the flower is by Prima Marketing. It has papers by Diecuts With A View (from their Mod/Retro Stack) and some stickers by Making Memories. The brad is by Diecuts With A View too. The oval diecut is by Sizzix.
This has been a busy but fun day. Got lots of things done in the house plus had time to make this card. :) Surprised my family with a good home cooked dinner tonight and then we had a fun card game of Rook. What's your favorite card game? :) Happy Wednesday!

Good Tiimes Birthday Card
There is a fun challenge at Daring Cardmakers this week of using the January birthstone on your card. I put a red rhinestone (which is supposed to be the garnet) on the stamped calendar. The rubber stamps are by Hampton Art. The vintage image is by Lunagirl and the papers are by Basic Grey. The button brads are by Karen Foster Design and the flowers are by KaiserCraft. Hope you like my fun birthday card. :)
Birthday Flowers Card
The challenge at Just Us Girls is to have some stitching on your creation. This card has just a tiny amount of machine stitching in the top left and bottom right corners (with a red rhinestone over it). The stamps are by Sizzix and the patterned paper is by Diecuts With A View. This card also fits the challenge at 2 Red Bananas which is "Think Round." I was inspired by the challenge at EtsyInspired too. The pretty creations that had flowers on them by Skylar's Candy Clips made me want to "go floral" with this card. :) And last but certainly not least, is the challenge at Crazy4Challenges which is to do a birthday card.
If you don't like cold weather, then you don't want to visit me in Alabama right now. :) Course I love it.....as long as our heat does not tear up!) :) Hope you are enjoying your winter days too.

You're So Sweet Card
The current challenge at Kitchen Sink Stamps is to have some sewing on your creation. Luckily my sewing machine is out on my craft table at present. :) I bought my machine about four years ago strickly for paper crafting. I don't think it would know what to do with fabric (or maybe I should say the owner of it wouldn't). :) This card features an image by Lunagirl (from their Butterfly images CD). The rubber stamp sentiment is by Hampton Art. The border is a punch by Martha Stewart. The sticker is by K&Co., the bird badge is by Archix Studios, and the flowers by Prima and KaiserCraft. Hope you like my "cold" weather crafting. :)
Bloom Card
Since it is super cold in Alabama (plus some rare snow), I have been staying in and creating. Here is a card based on the MoJo Monday sketch. This was such a fun sketch to work with too. I used some clear stamps by Sizzix (as is the scalloped border) on this one. The glittered floral paper is by Doodlebug Design. The sticker in the circle is by K&Co. The polka dot ribbon is some I found on my last trip to Michael's that begged to come home with me. :) Stay warm!
Flowers and Friends Card
The challenge at Colour Create is to do a creation in the colors lemon and lime. Had to try this one as I love to use bright colors on my cards. The rubber stamp sentiment is by Hampton Art. The embossing folder is a neat one by Sizzix. The flower is by Prima and the flower brads are by the The Paper Studio (found at Hobby Lobby). This card also fits the challenge at Cute Card Thursday to use something new. The green flower on this card was recently bought at Michael's. :)
We woke up to a rare treat in our neck of the woods....snow! It snowed a couple of hours and lightly dusted everything outside. Such fun watching it fall to the ground while all snug and warm in the house. :) Another great day for staying all cozy inside, making cards and drinking hot chocolate or tea. :) We have been enjoying the Alabama/Texas game tonight. Roll tide! :) So proud of the Crimson Tide tonight!!!!! :)

Sharing some more samples made with the new January release by The [Stamps] Of Life.
It's a fun set with cupcakes, balloons and lots of words. It also fits the challenge at 365 Cards today of using metal on your creation too. The center card has metal rimmed tags plus metal eyelets. Hope you are staying warm in your neck of the woods. It's cold, cold, cold in Alabama. :) Perfect weather for staying in, drinking hot tea and making cards!!! :)

A New Year and New Stamps!!!!
What is a good way to start off a brand new year???? How about a new stamp release? :) The [Stamps] Of Life has a new set called HappyBday2You which is their January release. Sharing some cards I've made with this fun new set. I'll have some more samples to share tomorrow too. :) Because these cards are celebration cards, they fit the challenge over at Charisma Cardz . They also fit the Stamp Simply #120 and Stamp Something challenges of using something new (since these are "spankin" new stamps!!!). :) I hope you are having a great New Year's Day!!!!! I am watching the Rose Parade which I look forward to every year. Those floats are amazing!!! :) Don't forget to eat some black-eyed peas for luck either! I have a large crockpot full cooking that we will have tonight along with some other "Southern" treats like fried okra, green tomatoes, etc. :) Trying to start 2010 off right!!!!!! (Wink, wink!) :)
