Geometric Shapes Birthday Card
The challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges is to use at least three different geometric shapes on your creation. This one has rub-ons by Royal & Langnickel. I used punches to get the geometric shapes (circle, square and triangle). The embossing folder is a new one by Sizzix. Fast and easy....the best kind of card sometimes. :)
Floral Bouquet Birthday Card
The 365 Cards/Day 243 challenge is called "beautiful bouquet" (grouping of flowers together). I chose a new stamp by Prima Marketing to make my bouquet. Colored it with Stampin'Up! marker pens plus touched it up with some Copic glitter pens. The rub-on is by Royal & Langnickel. The cardstock and paper are by Diecuts With A View.
Hope your Thursday has been a good one. I love Thursday nights since my favorite TV show is on....yep, Survivor fan here. :) Love to watch "The Office" too....that show can always make me laugh. :)
Happy Birthday Butterfly Card
Since the challenge at Limelight Papercrafts this week is a sketch plus wants you to have a butterfly on your creation, I HAD to do it. :) I love to make cards with butterflies. That's another one of my many weaknesses. :) The gold foil board is by Grafix (love this stuff) and the patterned red cardstock is by Diecuts With A View (Taj Mahal Stack). The vellum is by The Paper Studio (as are the small gold brads). The rub-on is by Royal and Langnickel. The big bold butterfly is a die by Sizzix (Sizzlits Butterfly #2).
I bragged about that sunshine too much yesterday. :) It is cloudy and raining yet again in Alabama. :) Pretty good weather for staying in and crafting though! :)

Double Vodkas Card
Sharing a fun birthday card with you today. This card also fits the bill at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday which is to have some borders on your card. I used two Sizzix decorative strip borders at the bottom. The funny image at the top is by Crafty secrets. The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart and the patterned paper is by Diecuts With A View. Since this is a tall card, it also fits the challenge going on at Caardvarks right now.
Hope you are having a great Wednesday. Today is my Mom's birthday and I'm baking her a cake. The house smells so good right now. :) Another great thing about today is that the sun is shining. We've had cloudy rainy weather so much the last few weeks. Time to ice the cake.....will save you a piece. :)

Signs You Are Getting Old Card
Have a quick post tonight. I wanted to do the challenge at 365 Cards/Day 241 of creating a list on your card. I did the "Signs You Are Getting Old" list. :) (And I can relate to some of the things on the list....yipes!) :)
This card will also fit into two other challenge sites. Papertake Weekly's challenge is to have spots and stripes on your creation. I used some striped ribbon and my spots are the small blue brads. :) Pile It On has a challenge of using blue, green and yellow on your crafty project. The ribbon has those colors.
Got to run. My couch is calling my name. It has been a LONG day. :)

Secret Of Staying Young Card
The challenge at If The Shoe Fits... is to use only blue, white and silver on your creation. I did a fun birthday card using a vintage image by Lunagirl. The patterned paper is by Diecuts With A View while the embossing folder is by Sizzix. The dark blue flowers are by Prima Marketing. The sentiment is computer generated. The silver foil board is by Grafix (love this stuff). :)
Off to do some ironing before I give it up for the night. Looking forward to watching David Letterman and relaxing. It's been a long day. :)
Fabulous Birthday Card
The challenge at 365 Cards/Day 240 is to use a stick pin or safety pin with beads and/or charm/s on your card. I used some small safety pins and added some seed beads to them. The image is by Crafty Secrets. The patterned paper is by Diecuts With A View and the tag is by Making Memories. The "happy day" rubber stamp is by Hampton Art. The flowers and crocheted looking trim are by Prima Marketing. I love to do funny cards particularly birthday cards. :)
This has been a busy day of doing the things we all hate but have to do anyway. Like laundry, vacuuming, etc. I love that old Joan Rivers quote about housework that goes like...."I hate housework! You make the beds, you do the dishes and six months later you have to start all over again." Except at my house, you do it everyday. :)

Hocus Pocus Cards
The movie Hocus Pocus is the featured flick at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. This was one of my oldest daughter's favorite movies. We have a VHS copy of it that we bought when she was little. We've watched that movie a lot! :) This card also fits the challenge at Our Creative Corner of doing a project inspired by your favorite holiday book or movie. This is definitely our favorite "Halloween holiday" movie. :) The challenge at My Time To Craft is to use Halloween colors so these two cards fit that one too. :)
The "Your Mummy Loves You" has papers by My Mind's Eye (The Spider's Web Collection).
The cardstock stickers plus epoxy sticker are by Little Yellow Bicycle (Trick Or Treat Collection). The jeweled spider brad is by Making Memories plus I added some orange rhinestones by KaiserCraft to the patterned paper spiders. The vintage mummy image is computer generated. I think this card will be perfect to send to my daughter at college. :)
The "Hocus Pocus" card has a sticker by BoBunny that I designed the card around. The witch hat and shoes are diecuts by Sizzix (also the ric rac looking strips). The little spider is a sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle (from their last year's Halloween collection). Fast and easy! :)
***Also, one more little note. Brook (from Cinema Saturday Creative Challenges) is doing a blog candy. You can find out all about it at her blog which is [Designs By Brooke].
The Halloween Hourglass Card
The challenge at 365 Cards for day 239 is based on a sketch. This is my creation for it. I think it looks like a creepy old hourglass. :) The patterned papers are by Basic Grey (new Eerie Collection). The epoxy stickers and flocked brad are by Little Yellow Bicycle (Trick Or Treat Collection). The pretty orange flower is by Prima Marketing.
Caardvarks also has a challenge going on for creating a tall card. This card fits that one too. :)
All White Thank You Card
The challenge at Color Create is to have a primarily white card. This card is prettier in person than it photographed. (You'll have to take my word for it.) :)
I used an embossing folder from Sizzix and black rhinestones for the centers of the embossed flowers.
Hope your Sunday is going well. My youngest and I are having a relaxing afternoon watching some old DVD movies. We are watching "The Goonies" presently. I love watching a good "old" movie with her that she has never seen before....priceless. :)

You're A Dear Card
This card fits three challenges. First, the card is based on a sketch at Delightful Sketches Second, the challenge at All Sorts is to have a "furry friend(s) on your card. The third challenge is to have a 3-D flower and it is at Just Us Girls.
I stamped my "furry friend" which is a deer (plus some birds) on some old text. The stamps are by Hampton Art. The patterned dotted cardstock is by BoBunny. The flowers are layered which makes them 3-D. They are by Prima Marketing. The trim is by We 'R Memory Keepers.
That's it for today. I had too much fun at Hobby Lobby....I hear my recliner calling my name. :)
Daisy Owl Card
Sharing a fun card I did this morning that has two challenges on it. First, the challenge at Charisma Cardz is to use daisies some way on your creation. Second, the challenge at Stamp Simply was to have only square shapes on your card. I used a one inch square punch by EK Success to use on the daisy paper. The daisy patterned paper is by Diecuts With A View. The owl and sentiment are rubber stamps by Hampton Art. The square rhinestones are by KaiserCraft and the flower is by Prima Marketing..
It's so nice after an afternoon of shopping to get your face washed, teeth brushed and jammies on (not to mention getting your feet propped up.) :) Now I'm ready to get caught up with "Glee." Isn't that the greatest show? Who would have thought a TV musical would be so much fun? I'm hooked!
Black Cat Crossing Card
Here's a card I did this morning for three different challenge sites. 365 Cards wanted a card with twine on it. I had some black twine that I got years ago and finally got to use. :) The challenge at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge was to use orange plus one other color. (I chose orange and black together. :) Finally the challenge at Hand Full Of Stamps was to use at least three layers on a card. I layered the rubber stamped cats with some paper punching. That fun black cat border stamp is by Stamp Francisco. The checkerboard punch is by Martha Stewart. The sticker is by Little Yellow Bicycle. Can't remember who the black twine is by....I've had it over six years.
Did you have a good Saturday? I had a nice one. I took my youngest to the "big city" (for us anyway) with one of her friends. They were wanting to see the new movie based on the Cirque de Freak's series of books. These have been her favorite books (12 of them) for a long time. She has been counting the days to seeing this movie. :) While they were at the movies, I went to Hobby Lobby and T.J. Maxx. So now you know I had fun too. :) I found lots of ribbon at Hobby Lobby. They had been hiding some from me. :) In case you don't know it, there are rolls and rolls of ribbon in the sewing department. The best part is that it was on sale for 50% off today too. I got lots of pretty polka dots, stripes, ginghams, etc. Lots of time to look at everything today since I was waiting for the movie to be over. I'll have to remember to check that department of Hobby Lobby more often. :)

October Stamps Of Life Card Samples
Sharing the cards I did with the October release from The Stamps Of Life. These are the BEST clear stamps. The Stamps Of Life has a monthly stamp club and you get new stamps every month. The stamps are made in the USA too. How cool is that?! :)
Highest Happiness Card
The current challenge at Daring Cardmakers is to put five of your favorite things on a card. If you put 10 of your favorite things, then you win the DCM gold star. I'm always up for a challenge so I tried for the gold star. :) Here are my "favorite things" on this card:
1. Vintage Images (by Lunagirl)
2. Rubber Stamps (by Hampton Art/Hugs and Kisses)
3. Rub-Ons (Diecuts With A View)
4. Flowers (Prima Marketing, Inc.)

This card also fits the challenge at PaperPlay Challenges of using your favorite embellishment on a card (flowers). :)
So how did I do? I showed it to my husband and the first thing he said was, "where is Mona?" :) (In case you haven't figured out I love Mona Lisa.) :) Maybe for my next "favorite things" card. Wink, wink. :)
It's All About The Candy Card
I am a card making machine in rainy weather. :) This card is for the "candy corn" challenge at Cute Card Thursday. It also will fit the bill at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge of doing a "spooktacular" creation. Stampin' For The Weekend has "A Haunting Good Time" challenge going too and 'ole Frank here fits that one too. :)
It will also fit the challenge at Crafty Creations for a "All Hallow's Eve" creation. And last but not least, it will fit challenge #34 at The Corrosive Challenge Blog of "Spooky Times." The second I saw the name of the challenge I wanted to try it because I remembered some candy corn buttons I've had for ages. :) The Frankinstein stamp is by Stamp Francisco and all the stickers are by Little Yellow Bicycle. The journaling patterned paper page is by Making Memories. The spider web corner punch is by Martha Stewart. (I'm still looking for the border one.) This card makes me smile....hope it does you too. :)
Spellbound Card
Card Positioning Systems Sketch #38
My "Spellbound" card is based on the Card Positioning Systems Sketch #38. It also fits the challenge at Stamp Something this week of doing Halloween somethings. The papers, brads, and stickers are by Little Yellow Bicycle.
The vintage Halloween stamp is by Stamp Francisco.
Hope you are having a great Friday. I am playing catch-up in the house as I've been gone nearly all week working for my hubby. Lots of laundry, dusting, vacuuming, etc.....yuck. :) Hopefully I will get it all done plus have some time to make cards. Memo--Keep repeating to yourself "chores before fun." :)
Who's Having A Birthday? Card
Fun challenge at 365 Cards today where you have to use at least five different stamps on your card. I ended up with nine different stamps on mine. :) The rubber stamps are by Hampton Art. The pretty glitter cardstock is by Diecuts With A View (Citrus Stack). The brad is by Around The Block and the trim is by The Paper Studio (found at Hobby Lobby).
Would you believe it is rainy again???? Messy outside but perfect for a day at home making cards. Wink, wink. :)

Paisley Birthday Card
The challenge for today at 365 Cards is to have a paisley pattern somewhere on your creation. I knew I wanted to do this one since I recently got the Sizzix paisley textured impressions embossing folder. :) The card is also based on the sketch at Card Patterns. The colorful paisley patterned paper is by Diecuts With A View (chipboard too). The rub-on is by Royal & Langnickel and the brads are by Doodlebug Designs.
Dashing out the door to keep my husband's office again today. He's on his way home though so I get to stay home tomorrow! Yipee....I'll even be glad to see him too. Wink! :)
You Are My Ethel Card
Sharing a fun card with you today that has been in my "mind" for several weeks. I've had my "Ethel" stamp for a long time but never used her on a card. She had decorated some happy envelopes but never a card. :) My youngest daughter has been about as big a fan of the old "I Love Lucy" shows as me. I tried out the saying that I had come up with (You Are My Ethel) on her. I asked if she "got it." :) She thought a few seconds and then smiled.....she got it! :) "You Are My Ethel" is a card for your very best friend. :)
I used the sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You (#37). The "Ethel" stamp is by Stamp Francisco. (If you have never checked out their images, you really should. Be prepared to drool.) :) The patterned paper is some new by Making Memories in their "Vintage Findings" collection. The rub-ons are by Royal & Langnickel and the black chipboard arrow diecuts are by Sizzix.

Grateful Mind Birthday Card
The challenge at 365 Cards (Day 235) is called Wacky Color Wednesday. You are to create a card with the following colors: red, purple and brown. I went thru my papers but couldn't find any with those colors together so opted for all cardstock. Luckily I had some purple and brown Prima flowers and was able to pull it all together. :) The rub-on is by Royal & Langnickel and the brads are by American Crafts.
The card is based on a pretty sketch at Crazy 4 Challenges too. I'm starting to get the hang of combining challenges. Wink. :)
I just came in from picking up lots and lots of sticks in our yard from all the rain last week. There was the nicest breeze blowing and "fall" was in the air. But it is also starting to cloud up again for more rain. This is the wettest autumn I can ever remember. :) I hope you have had a nice fall day too. :)

Cupcake Craft Challenge and Cute Card Thursday
I stayed up SO late last night making cards. This is another one I did for the "Things That Go Bump In The Night" Challenge at Cupcake Crafts. It will also fit the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday for their "Spook Fest" challenge. The patterned paper is by BoBunny and the skull stickers are by K&Company. Foam alphabet stickers are by American Crafts. The Halloween font stickers are by Making Memories. Fast and easy card! :)
I'm a working gal today. Having to keep my hubby's office for him. My biggest job will be staying awake after making cards TOO late last night. :) Hope your Tuesday is a good one and you can stay awake. Wink, wink. :)
Cupcake Craft Challenge -- Things That Go Bump In The Night
My only time this week to make cards is by burning the midnight oil. Fun at the time but I pay seriously the next morning. :) This card is for the "Things That Go
Bump In The Night" challenge over at Cupcake Crafts. This is my first time to do one of their challenges. :) The patterned papers are by My Mind's Eye. The black chipboard is by Grafix and I used Sizzix dies on it. The witch button is by Dress It Up!
I want to go back to bed this morning but am headed to work in my husband's office. Hope I can stay awake....my staying up until 2:00 last night has caught up with me. :)
365 Cards/Day 234 -- Tuesday's Trios
I was in a card making mood late, late, late last night. This is one I did for the
Tuesday Trio over at 365 Cards. The trio to use was: a tag, pearls and ribbon. The patterned paper on the tag is by Little Yellow Bicycle. The chipboard jack-o-lantern stickers are by K&Company. I used black pearls by KaiserCraft. The ribbon is some by American Crafts that I found at Michael's a few weeks ago. :)
Better get a move on. I'm working in my husband's office all this week. Hope you have a fun Tuesday. :)

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #54/Finding Nemo
Want to share a quick card I did for the Saturday Creative Challenge #54. The movie to "inspire" us this week is Finding Nemo. There is also an added color challenge to use the colors shown in the above banner. I used some great rubber stamped (on glossy white cardstock) vintage images by Oxford Impressions. The "waves" embossing folder is by Sizzix. The cute little flip-flop brads are some I found at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. :) I was seriously challenged trying to come up with something for this movie but I'm happy with the end result. :)
365 Cards -- Day 233/Favorite Fabric
The challenge at 365 Cards today is to use a favorite fabric from your home as inspiration for your creation. I took a picture of a chair that is in my den to use for my idea. The vintage image is from a CD by Lunagirl and the papers are by Webster's Pages and Making Memories. The beautiful flower is by Prima Marketing (loooove this flower). :)
I did this card during my lunch hour as I am having to keep my husband's office this week. Who needs to eat anyway? :) Well now that it is 2:34 in the afternoon.....ME. :) Don't regret making the card but seriously need something to eat NOW. :) I think a short break to the Dollar Store across the street is in order for a drink and candy bar. :) Bad I know but oh so good. :) Hope your week is off to a great start. We have sunshine....first time in over a week!

365 Cards/Day 232 -- Tis Near Halloween Card
My card today is based on the sketch at 365 Cards/Day 232. The papers are by Making Memories (webs) and Little Yellow Bicycle (diamonds). The sticker, ribbon and brad are by Little Yellow Bicycle too.
The power company cut off the power to our town for 4 1/2 hours this afternoon doing some upgrading. That would have been fine IF I had known about it in advance. :) I spent my "powerless" time entertaining myself making cards. :) My oldest made it safely back to her college this afternoon so I am suffering the "sad mom mode" for a few days anyway. :)

365 Cards Challenge/Day 231 and Just Us Girls Challenge
This card is for two challenges. It is for 365 Cards Day 231 of having a cloud(s) on your creation. The Just Us Girls challenge was a color one of using red, aqua and cream. I found this patterned paper which is by Cosmo Cricket and it had all three colors. The rubber stamps are by Hampton Art and
the flowers are Prima Marketing. I used a cloud rubber stamp and then colored it in with chalks. I hope it looks like clouds floating overhead. When I added the words to the clouds though, it started to look like "word bubbles." Don't be deceived though they are CLOUDS! (Wink!) :)
It's not raining today but it is still cloudy. On top of that, it has turned COLD. :) My oldest went shopping with a friend while my youngest and I are having a stay at home in our "jammies" day. Mainly because she has a severely sprained ankle (and is having to use crutches). I've got her on the couch and am playing the
"fetch and tote" game with her. :) I just made a yummy peanut butter and chocolate dessert for dinner tonight and wait I hear something. Yep, it is my recliner calling my name.....Does yours ever speak to you? :) Hope you are having a fun and lazy weekend too. :)

365 Cards Challenge/Day 230 Shape Up, Color Q and Stamp Something
Found a few minutes to play in my craft room this afternoon. I did a card that will fit into three different challenge sites. The 365 Cards challenge for today was called shape up. This meant you needed to put a semi-circle(s) on your card. Next the color challenge over Color Q wanted these five colors on your card: Elegant Eggplant, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Natural. Last the challenge at Stamp Something was to have bling on your card. This is what I created with the three challenges in mind. The card kept growing and it ended up an unusual shape but I "kinda" like it. :) The rubber stamps are by All Night Media, the embossing folder by Sizzix and cardstock/ink pads by Stampin'Up! The orange rhinestones are by KaiserCraft.
Hope you are getting ready to have a great weekend. We are lined up to start watching season three of Dexter tonight from Netflix. That should prove to be an interesting turn of events. :) It has turned into a tradition that we do this during fall break. :)
Crazy 4 Challenges Week 6 Truly Thankful C4C6
This week's challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges is to create a card with a "thankful" theme (could be a thank you or Thanksgiving card). I went and looked thru my image CD's from Lunagirl and found this vintage image. It had the perfect colors for some new papers by Making Memories from their Vintage Findings Collection. The trim is by The Paper Studio and the flowers are by Prima Marketing. The brad and alphabet stickers are by Making Memories too.
We had a few minutes of sunshine this morning but it has disappeared. Looking like rain yet again. I keep singing the song from Annie, "the sun will come out tomorrow" in my head. :) Still enjoying my daughter's fall break visit from college though....rain or shine. :) We played Phase 10 last night (a good card game, if you don't have it.) :)

365 Cards Challenge/Day 229 and Card Patterns Sketch #36
Would you believe it is raining again? Another dark and rainy day which is good for card making and a college daughter wanting to sleep, sleep, sleep. :) I got to "play" in my craft room for a few minutes this afternoon. I've been doing the challenges over at 365 Cards this week. For day 229 , it is a color scheme. When I saw it, I knew that Cosmo Crickets Earth Love would be perfect. I used the sketch from Card Patterns #36 too. The cute little mushroom stamp is by Hampton Art. The "friend" rub-on is by Royal & Langnickel and the button looking brads are by Hot Off The Press. The ovals were cut with the Creative Memories templates.
Got to run. Lots and lots of college laundry to do plus I've had "orders" for some of "Mom's" fried chicken for dinner tonight. It seems a certain college sophomore is tired of the college cafeteria food and ready for some "home-cooking." :) She wants Buttermilk Pie for dessert too (and will get it.) Wink, wink. :)
