First Foil Quill Bird Card

I finally got my Foil Quill and here is the first card I created with it.  I used a dark royal blue foil on a bright green cardstock.  I used a design from the Silhouette Design Store to create the leaves in the background.  

Hopefully you can see how pretty the foiling is in the background.  I've always had problems getting foiled papers to show up as good in the photograph as in person.  You may have to use your imagination.  (Wink.)

I even foiled a matching envelope for this card using the same pattern.  You can find the Laurel Leaf Sketch pattern here.  I'm going to enter this card at these challenges:

Wow, that blue against the green is stunning, and so is the shimmer of that foil. I've never used this pen but can imagine it would be so much fun!! Love all the vibrant colours on your card and the piece of wool along the bottom with the crossed over staples is something I've never seen before, its genius!! I'm so very glad you shared this with us at TIME OUT!
